Queen Maji is the daughter of Shika and an outside male, and is sister to Jua. She was crowned alongside Alhaji on 11/12/19. Maji is a strong-willed free spirit, and despite her admiration for her King and mate, she doesn't fancy the idea of being tied down or dealing with the traditions associated with being a ruler. She prefers to act for herself and interact with her pride as though her royal title doesn't exist, and she has no desire to be pampered because of her status. Her favorite pastimes are hunting and baoball. On 1/3/20, a hunting accident resulted in the Queen being blinded in one eye. King Alhaji certainly panicked more than Maji did, as the iron-willed lioness insisted that this minor setback would not keep her from her normal routine - namely hunting, patrolling, and ruling. Still fretting over her safety, Alhaji insisted that she at least recruit a companion to help keep an eye out for unexpected dangers while out by herself, and given his own love of feathery companions, his solution was obvious. The Queen now travels with the pigeon Mlinzi, who helps Maji keep an eye on her blind spot. Name meaning: water
