Joetta was named the first Queen of the pride, although she already had two daughters by an unknown male. King Sumba loved her enough to ignore that they were not his daughters, and honored them with the title of Princess.
Shortly after their pairing, Joetta produced a true daughter, Vosta, and she was instantly doted on by the Nursemaids and her family. Though she was happy with a daughter, Joetta knew she needed to produce a son so Sumba would have a true heir - not one produced through a Consort. The thought worried her, as she had three to four more years to produce an heir.
At age 11, Joetta was finally able to produce a son, a heir to ensure that their bloodline would continue another generation. After Alexander was born, his litter including two sisters, Joetta had one more litter. This litter consisted of two more daughters, proving that Alexander was blessed by the gods to continue the pride in Sumba's stead.
Knowing that she would pass before her beloved Sumba, she begged her King to take a Regent. One to rule besides him in her stead until he could step down and join her in the afterlife. Reluctantly, he agreed - not being too stubborn to see the truth of her words - and brought an outside female in to take his Queen's place after she passed. Both Joetta and Sumba agreed that this female was not to breed into the Royal Family line, that she would do this job and then step down and allow their family to continue to rule. With this final decision made, Joetta could enjoy what time she had left with her family and help to train the Regent.
