Hibi

Hibi considered herself rather humble for a recently coveted lioness, her richly colored fur attracting all sorts of attention to the point that her last pride couldn't deal with it properly anymore and just sold her off to whoever could afford the rather high cost. Beetles of glittering gold and silver were exchanged at a market and she was now under the care of a rather handsome lion, so she didn't complain much at the long trip back to her new home.

The impression of the pride that she arrived at was honestly not very high, at least at first.

She lays in a very sparsely populated cave, the other few lionesses lazing about as more lionesses periodically enter to clean up the flooring and to bring them occasional meals. They are visited frequently by their pride leader as he checks for heats, and he either takes care of his lionesses himself like he did for her or he takes them out to do who knows what during their heat. The rest of them aren't told much by the returning lioness after being gone for nearly three days at times. Currently she was expecting a litter in merely hours, her belly not as large as some of the others so she hopes the cubs will satisfy their leader. Cheetu had taken her to a strange stone and seemed disappointed long before the cub was even born.

Any cubs that don't meet some unknown standards he has meet an awful fate from what she hears.
