The Clead Skies Pride worried over odd markings, and their shamen stepped forward to deliver judgement. Peko had a mutation in her genes, like Rho herself, that gave her a connection to the spirit world. Yet since it was a mutation passed genetically, the rosette shamen and piebald cub were not alike. Peko would be supervised as she grew up, to see just how different their abilties were. As Rho predicted, it seemed Peko couldn't see anything spiritual in her surroundings. She had no visions or prophecies, no strange visits from otherworldly beings -- nothing like Rho. Instead, it was as if she was a disconnected spirit. Her aura was much the same, and Peko grew up faster than the other cubs in both physic and wisdom. Bad luck followed her pawsteps, yet the piebald always seemed to be an excellent huntress-to-be. As a newborn, the shamen Rho had passed her judgement. Upon Peko's adolescence, she would be forced to leave the pride, and find her destiny elsewhere. The Clear Skies Pride could not risk keeping a lion that summoned chaotic energy wherever she went. Peko was at least direction to the Remnant Pride, the group of lions that upheld their loyalty to the High King. Spiorde carried no judgement towards "odd" lions, and welcomed Peko to live with spiritual piebalds of their own. She found a life and community here. Though Peko misses her mother, and her pridemates growing up in the Skies Pride... she feels safe here. And Mottled, the eldest piebald lioness, offered to help Peko control her powers -- ones she didn't realize she had -- much better. Life is good.
