Once upon a time, Apedemak ruled the Celestial Kingdom, lord over the stars and souls of the mortal lions.
But the power of the Whispers corrupted him; and when his favourite daughter fell in love with a Firelord, his anger possesed him.
He recruited the help of a mere mortal lioness, and began his ritual to become a Divine Emperor.
But the ritual failed, somehow. Even more, it robbed him of the power he'd gained from the whispers.
So it was that the broken king, now sane, was forced to face his own actions, and beg from forgiveness from his daughter.
That is were his story ends.
Once upon a time, a mortal lioness was recruited by a mad king to conduct a ritual. And if her pelt now shines with the colors of the divine, if she wears jewelry that seems to whisper, if she never seems to age....
Well, the story still had a happy ending, didn't it?
