You walk by the sleeping Andromeda unsuspectingly, when she sticks out one paw in front of yours. You trip and fall on your snout. Yikes!
Andromeda is one of the stranger members of King Silver's pride. Like many lionesses of the pride, she is a skilled and respected hunter. She is the queen of the second tier of hunters within the pride, leading the group of younger, less experienced hunters. The spritely Andromeda can sometimes be described as, well, slightly deranged or psychotic. She's aloof and appears unintelligent, often having no understanding of her environment and talking about nonsense things. It's practically impossible to hold a normal conversation with her. She has little understanding of social cues, and just doesn't seem to think outside of her own world. She'll wander alone and sometimes disappear for hours at a time. She's not rude or condescending, she loves and respects her pride mates. She's just very independent and not one for spending time with. Usually, Andromeda appears as a totally normal lion. Heck, you could spend a day around her and barely notice a thing. But, her thankfully loving and accepting pride family knows Andromeda and her occasional quirks all too well.
Andromeda's physical appearance can be described as disheveled and strange. She's quite slender with a hunched posture and tilted head. One of her eyes is glassy gray color, and the other never looks anyone in the eye. Her fur is often matted and out of place, with the occasional bald patch. She sports a small, almost-mane of wispy purple fur that grows from atop her head and cheeks. Her jowls hang low, revealing yellowed teeth and often causing the lion to drool all over the place. At rest, she can occasionally heard babbling to herself or cackling at things. Her reactions can often be extreme or spontaneous, as she excites quickly and will purr and prance at the most simple things, or burst into a dramatic bout of whines at times. She can spring from a seemingly deep sleep into excitement or anger in seconds. In rare occasions, something can put her into a trace-like bout of aggression and hostility. She will growl and bat at everything, becoming reserved or even fearful. Luckily, some gentle words of reassurance from a pride member will comfort and calm her into her regular, dreamy state. The strange lion may whine and apologize for a moment, but she will then return to her normal wandering and exploring out of sight. She loves to splay out in the sun in contorted positions. She appears scrawny, but has quite the appetite and proves to be a messy eater.
Despite her mangy appearance, Andromeda is a fearsome and dangerous beast. Although she is reaching in age she still proves to be as fit and active as an adolescent. She is an absolutely ruthless and sometimes downright scary opponent. She often lacks any hint of empathy; she will defeat opponents in ways deemed uncalled for or overly brutal. She hisses and growls in quite ferocious ways. It's unwise to engage in a playful wrestle with the great Andromeda. You may never participate in any wrestle again. And she likely wont even realize the damage she's done until it's done. Her instinct to kill seems much too strong.
