Blushing Clay was born to Tall Smoke; she was one of the first cubs born in the pride. As the daughter of the Queen, she perceived her higher position in the pride and was not quiet about this privilege. Her mother hoped she'd develop a filter, but to little avail; the Princess never learned to be afraid to speak her mind. She was as stunned as anyone else when her sister Slate ran away, forcing her to find other friends, though many of those also left. She felt incredibly alone, as even her mother was distracted by the losses and then passed away. Eventually, she found comfort in her sons, the elder of whom was her father's heir. When her son Pale Frost became King, she took up a place of seniority in the pride, advising him as well as helping the new queen. She spent the rest of her life building up the pride her father established, and her name will be remembered for all she's done.
