Flame was cast out from her previous pride as a cub for being a "monster". Her mother died during her birth. Her Pride connected her mothers death and her mutation and determined her to be the cause of death. Her pride decided to kill her as she was obviously a danger. Flame only survived because of her larger stature, she ran far away from her prides territory and escaped death by starting a battle between her pride and the neighboring prides territory she had run into. After getting out of pride territory, she traveled far until she found a small den in the ground. There she met a cub called Roaring Wind. They both worked together to make a larger den, learn to hunt and help each other survive as cubs. After seeing how similar their stories were, they decided to create a pride for those who were cast out for being mutated. They called it the 1 generation pride.
