The Oasis was filled to the brim with rabbit holes... What a bothersome thing to deal with. The only good thing that came out of the surplus of rabbits was that it fed the pride quite nicely.
But to Elio it was more of a burden, little rodents running amok and littering the ground with holes. He couldn't count how many lions Solara was healing for rolled or snapped paws... But alas Elio felt no need to explore this one beautiful day and instead focused on his experiments. Elio was down to one Heavenly Nepheline feather and one Demonic scale. What would happen if he fused the two energies together with whispers?
That was his question and that was what Elio wanted to find out! Elio slowly imbued the artifacts with whisper energy, feeling their opposite energies repel each other but attract at the same time. It was fascinating to feel! Then suddenly Elio saw the two merge together! Creating this scaled feather of a gray red color, but hummed with a blue white glow. It felt powerful in his paws, and looked absolutely breathtaking. What kind of lion would come out if he infused it with this? He desperately wanted to know!
Sadly he never would... While Elio was distracted a little rabbit came out of it's burrow, right behind the mighty god King. Oh what an opportunity this was for this mischievous rabbit! And before Elio got up, the little rabbit lunged out and bit down hard on Elio's mighty rear end. Elio roared in pain, dropping his mighty creation down a rabbit hole!
"NO YOU STUPID RODENT, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!" Elio roared seeing his creation disappear into the small burrow... Elio tried to fish it out with his paws, but they where far too big to fit down the small burrow. How unstable was his creation?! Would it explode? He didn't know... and frankly Elio wasn't sure he wanted to find out.
As the mighty god king dug at the burrow's edge, to try and get to his creation, he heard a strange humming sound followed by several pain filled squeaks. Elio slowly stopped and backed away from the hole... Something had happened down there and he didn't want to be too close to find out.
After a couple minutes of rabbit screams something covered in blood popped it's head out of the burrow. It looked to be an infant lion cub with massive paws, until the massive rabbit ears on top it's head stood up. The little creature slowly opened it's eyes, revealing these brown goat eyes. What was this thing??? some kind of rabbit lion goat hybrid?
"Daddy?" the little thing mewed at Elio.
"Oh no, no no no! I am not your father!" Elio snarled back in response. The little thing didn't seem fazed by Elio's aggressive tone, or probably didn't understand what he was saying. The little creature pulled itself out of the burrow revealing spikes along it's spine and strange hooves on her hind feet?! Elio took another step back, realizing this thing had to be the product of his experiment! how wonderful... a Rabbit turned into a monster.
The little creature stumbled on it's new paws as it tried to walk over to Elio. "No stay back you little abomination!" Elio snapped taking a step back right into another burrow, tripping him. The little monster took this opportunity to jump onto Elio's face and nuzzle him repeating "Daddy!" over and over again.
Elio grumbled as the little thing nuzzled it's blood covered face into his clean face. What was he going to do with this thing? it isn't like he can reverse the effects! as Elio thought, an evil idea came to his mind. This thing slaughtered tones of rabbits after the item fused itself with this thing... Maybe Elio could use this little monster for hunting rabbits!
"You know what? Fine, I'm your dad and your name will be Arkie" Elio purred making the little monster squeal with joy.
"Arkie Arkie Arkie!!" it repeated. Oh was this thing going to be fun to raise...
You majestically stand on the biggest hill in your territory, surveying your lands. You notice Arkie standing next to you, copying your glorious stance. Awww yeah. We're the best.
As you greet Arkie with a low, affectionate rumble, she returns it with a friendly growl.
