The night was cold and damp, a heavy fog falling over the snowy mountain the Arcane pride calls home. Arcana II found sleep difficult that night, an anxious feeling deep inside of him as if he was waiting for something to happen.. late into the night he decided to take one last patrol before retiring to his den, when he began to pick up the scent of something he'd never quite smelled before.. yet familiar in some ways. He followed the trail cautiously as he knew he was drawing closer, and as he rose to the icy peak he saw the figure of an unfamiliar creature waiting for him to approach. Their demeanor was calm, and friendly. A smile rose to the young hybrid's face as the larger male lion approached curiously, the two mimicking the other's friendly attitude. "Arcana, I have been waiting to meet you." The Leopon spoke in a sweet tone, their eyes never leaving Arcana's as their tail flicked slowly behind them. "You have? Hopefully I haven't kept you waiting long." The male lion spoke playfully, confusion lingering in his gaze. "Who are you?" He asked, as the creature before him stood, moving closer to him to allow them a better look at one another in the dim moonlight. "I am Espiritus, a Leopon Hybrid. I've been searching for a pride that will take me in. I've been told you're a lion of great magic, such as myself, and set out to find you." They spoke, a hopeful glint in their eyes, considering they'd just climbed an entire freezing mountain to find him. "Of course," he spoke, bowing his head a bit. "My pride always has room for those who seek us out. If you'd follow me, I'll show you to our den?" He assured her, gesturing with a nod to the path behind him. Espiritus couldn't hide their excitement and relief, but tried to mask it as best as they could. The two walked down the winding path, until eventually reaching the rest of the pride. Espiritus settled in happily for the night with their new pride mates, who instantly welcomed the icy newcomer into their warm cuddle pile, as they all fell into a deep slumber.
