Akalis story :
Akali was born in a decent pride, she had siblings to run and play with and lovely lionesses to help her along the way. One day she had managed to get lost from her pride, she was playing in some tall grass and something had spooked her, making her run to safety.. but which way was safety?
She ran and ran, panting as he tail swayed as she ran. She looked behind her and then she bumped into something. She let out a little Yelp as she fell onto her bum, she shook her head. As she shook a scared sounding voice had spoke to her “Oh no, are you alright little one!” a decent sized male, tan with a fluffy but scraggly mane had been upon her”
She stared into his eyes afraid to move, “don’t worry, I won’t hurt you” the male had said with a small smile. Akali stood up sniffing the air, “I- I’m sorry for bumping into you..” she said in a mumble. The male chuckled “It’s fine. I’m Mifu!” Akali turned her head at the name, she had never met a Mifu before. “Im Akali! My mother says I’m like an angel from the sky!” She had said with a twirl that always made her mother laugh. Mifu chickles, “is that so?” He shook his head still chuckling. “Mhm!” She had added a small jump.
Mifu sighed “Well, where is your mother?” He said as he looked around. Akali froze, “I- I don’t know..” she said with a small sniffle. Mifu looked down at Akali gently nudging her, “c’mon kiddo. You can stay with my pride, you look exhausted.” Akali sniffled one last time rubbing against him before he stood tall again, Mifu turned looking back at her, making sure to gesture the way. She jumped up and started walking with him.
From then on she had lived in Mifus pride, she played with the young cubs and was always helping take care of them with the brood mothers. One day, on her way to say hi to Mifu, something seemed off, everyone was sad looking, no one said hi or even made eye contact with her. Akalis head lowered and sadnesses rippled her face, she bolted to Mifus cave, she slid into the door way. Mifu was laying in his bed of leaves with a few lionesses surrounding him, he saw her and sighed deeply than coughed. “Come here *cough* Akali..” the lionesses stepped back and she stepped forward. With as little energy as he had he nudged against her, Akali followed along as a tear rolled down her cheek.
“Make sure to take care of the pride for me, Akali” he said with a few breaths in between words. “But- but you can’t leave me Mifu, I need you!” She said as more tears rolled down her face, “But I must go, you have to take care of everyone for me, Banji will help..” Akali was too focused to realize the bright male sitting near where Mifu lay, he nodded, looking down quickly.
“I- I will miss you Mifu..” she said as she laid down next to him, “I’ll miss you too Akali..”
That next morning Banji was crowned king, Akali was happy for him, she basically raised him, so she knew he was worthy. Akali would travel to Mifus grave everyday, she would fill him in on everything that happened.
Soon, Akali was the main brood mother and took care of the nursery, as she always dreamed! She knew that Mifu was smiling down at her, she knew he was proud.

Akali was one of my first Pies, she was stunning. I’m proud to say, she was worth every penny, and I will never ever go back on that.
I scattered, panicking on my last day hoping she wouldn’t die so I could freeze her. She may not be the hybrid I wanted or the Primal but she is far better. <3

Rest in peace my queen. I’m glad I was able to get a jellyfish to keep you here with me. So now you can watch as everything grows.
