The small cub arrived in the pride escorted by a leoponess, Karo watched from afar as her pride decided the cub was no thread, but wasn't sure about her caretaker. The older explained how she found the small cub close to hunting grounds, she was between her mother's paws, hungry and afraid.

Kayta was taken to Karo as the pride kept watch at the older stranger, she quietly followed the lioness and they explained the situation to their king. Karo saw the scarred eyes of the cub and saw herself, just like she was found by Kriere, this cub was taken to her by fate itself, she decided it was worth to train the cub to become a strong lioness and help protect the pride.

The cub humbly asked that her caretaker could stay with her, something Karo saw no problem as long as she took care of herself and kept the cub safe. The leoponess, nicknamed Leo, explained how she would help train Kayta, so she would at least be of use for her new king.

Karo notices that even with a lot of training, Kayta is still falling behind the others in the pride, Leo insists the reason for that is due to her scarred eyes and requests the king has a bit more patience.

For a few days, Kayta notices Karo keeps watching her disapprovingly and fears her days in the pride will be over soon. She politely explain to the king the reason for her falling behind is due to trauma, her mother was killed protecting her, the cub wanted to follow her and watch the hunt, but a buffalo attacked the cub to defend it's territory, the attack left the cub blind and close to death, her mother rushed to her aid and fell to the beast, but keeping her offspring alive.

Leo explains to the king that she will keep Kayta alive, no matter what, and asks for Karo to give her a second chance to prove herself as a worthy pride member.

You watched as Kayta crept quietly up to a sleeping pridemate, took the rib bone they had been chewing on, and slunk back off to her own sleeping spot. How sneaky!

Kayta boldly took on a much larger opponent and emerged victorious!

Kayta decided to test her pouncing skills on a young cobra! Luckily, she stunned the snake and was able to get away unharmed.

You nearly jump five feet in the air when a huge spider suddenly appears in your sleeping spot! Luckily, Kayta ran over immediately and threw it out for you. Holy crap.

Kayta sits next to you and watches the horizon for any incoming danger. Bees included.
