You hear a loud clatter across the clearing, turning your head you immediately feel a tickle on your nose. A tuft of pink-ish fur swept up into your nose. Growling, you swipe the fur away. You looked to see where the fur came from. A large cinnabar lioness was howling in joy as she and a smaller cub pinned down beetles. Poor Beetles. The big lions' fur was covered in white dapples. she was mutated. Your lips curled "HEY!" The lioness skidded to a halt. The small cub slipped, ramming into the bigger lioness. oof, that had to hurt. "Salmo?" the bigger lioness turned, sniffing the cub "Are you okay?" Salmo? That must be the cubs' name. oh no. The lioness turned, a snarl edging onto her lips. Hackles raised along her shoulders. "YOU!" her voice boomed, shaking your heart and putting a pit in your stomach. Your ears flattened as she approached you, she was tense, with her claws unsheathed. Oh no. "I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to hurt your cub."
She halted in walking towards you, her ears pricked. "My cub?" she turned to look behind her at Salmo, who was rubbing her nose. A giggle sounded from her. "Salmo? Mine? She is not my daughter." you let your muscles relax, thankfully that seemed to stop her from being aggressive. "I didn't think I looked old enough to have a cub..." she looked at you, her eyes meeting yours "Are you mute or deaf?" She blinked at you, tilting her head. "Oh. I can speak." You shuffled your paws awkwardly, nervous. "I am Cerasus." Cerasus? That sounds familiar. "Wait...Are you Ravin's granddaughter?" Her tail flicked, and an expression of delighted flickered across her face. "I am, Don't I resemble him?" A purr sounded from her throat. You looked at her cinnabar fur, blue eyes, and mutation. "Not really? I'm sorry." Her head drooped, her gaze lowered to the ground. "I guess I don't look like him. But I am the oldest daughter of his oldest daughter." She smiled, the light returning to her face. The dust that had been kicked up during the scuffle with beetles was still floating around but was beginning to settle. "I guess I should return to my own pride, it's not good to be away this long." A slight furrow in her brow was visible. "Before that...." she began to speak, turning to look behind her. "I need you to apologize to Salmo." A more serious expression was visible upon her face. You sighed, looking at the sky and position of the sun. "I guess I have some time before I need to return."
