Towards the back end of the shaded cave, Elizabeth maintains her small extension full of lively plants and herbs. In the roof of her den are many small gaps between the roots, some periodically stuffed with rocks or clumps of plant matter depending on her garden's needs. These holes are enough to let in flittering rays of sunlight as well as rain whenever it comes, yet not so vast or numerous as to threaten the structural integrity of the den. Elizabeth dutifully tends to her plants-- squeezing water from clumps of moss to nourish them, burying scraps in the soil to keep it dense with nutrients-- and their fragrance clings headily to her pelt.
Elizabeth, ever-gentle and polite, welcomes new faces and takes pride in offering bundles of herbs to travelers to help them keep up their strength, or to aid in the healing of a wound. In the night, her well-groomed fur shines under the light of the moon she basks beneath.
