Wenet, the pride's very own, was welcomed in during Randal's reign. She was accepted warmly into the pride's ranks, and due to the intense interest of the cubs in this eccentric stranger, soon accepted the responsibilities of a broodmother. Wenet and her daughter, Aikido, are the only two to often leave the Shaded Cave at the peak of day. Despite the heat, they both greatly enjoy the daylight, as well as conversing with their pridemates who remain around the acacia.
If a newcomer is to arrive, Wenet will, of course, be happy to chat. She carries not only stories of her own travels and experiences prior to her arrival in the pride, but also tales of the pride's history. She quite enjoys spinning tall tales!
Wenet is blessed by the Merciful Sky, protected and admired for what will be eternity. Sometimes, she may wander far away, perhaps for long stretches of time, but the Merciful Sky will always lead her back home. Even in the face of time, the stars are in her favor, and her life is sure to last far beyond that of the rest of her pride.
