Beloved Fleur, a gift from a kind neighboring king, was brough to Ad Astra as a mere cub. At first, she was wary and on guard around her new pridemates. Slowly she began to warm up to them, though, and from the time she was an adolescent she knew her path in life; train under the Shamans and the Shaman of her pride to become their successor.
She always had a connection to birds, and often found herself in the presence of them. Once she reached maturity, she was known informally as The Lionbird, as she was very often found with them. She bonded with them, helped raise their babies, mourned their deaths, and the only thing keeping her from being a bird herself was her inability to sprout wings. To the die she died, the birds were always with her, assisting her with Shaman duties, giving her news, and just keeping her company.
Her success in being Ad Astra's second Shaman inspired her to mentor others, and took under her wing the oddballs of the pride, as was becoming a theme what with her mentor being a primal lioness herself and Fleur being a cracked piebald lioness. Her eldest shaman apprentice, Seer Twilight, was a primal fanged lioness who traveled from an unknown tribe to assist Ad Astra, supposedly guided by the stars. Fleur was the first and the quickest to trust the younger lioness, as she too was a mutated lioness from a different pride of origin. Over time, Twilight become more distant from the traditional Shaman teachings and become more of a Spirit Walker, a lion who converses with spirits. Still, Fleur and Twilight stayed close and were often seen together talking or spending time in other ways.
Fleur's second apprentice, Sorcerer Midnight, was a partially blind, abandoned cub that the King found at the Tree. Despite her rare and beautiful markings, her old King deemed the cub unworthy of life in his pride. Vesuvius kindly took her in and Fleur, being a Broodmother as all Shamans took the role of, took her Midnight under her wing and raised her to be a kind hearted, strong lioness, despite her disability. She became a Shaman alongside her mentor, and is next in line to become head Shaman.
Fleur's youngest apprentice was yet another cub abandoned at the tree; a tiny folded eared lion named Elephant. She was self conscious about her ears, and claimed to have left on her own accord, but Fleur quickly bonded with the young lioness and the truth was revealed; she was dumped at the tree by her own mother, because she was jealous of her newborn child. Before she was left at the Tree, her mother had starved her and neglected her in favor of her unmutated siblings. Because of this neglect, Elephant had become angry and solemn, and internalized all of the emotions until Fleur taught her healthy outputs. Elephant become a Shaman as well, and dedicated her time to her studies of herbs and rituals.
Fleur was a caring, devoted lioness who was determined to bring hope to her adopted family who she grew to love like biological kin. She had 3 cubs, two of which reside in Ad Astra, one of which of whom was sent to another pride.
She will be forever beloved and upheld in Ad Astra's history.
