Calpurnia thought he was handsome, and she liked his loyalty, lack of ambition, and virtuous nature. The latter two were normally traits she wouldn't admire, but in a subordinate, they were ideal. The two got along fairly well, and despite how unpopular the queen was in life, Achojah never said anything unkind about her. Perhaps it was mostly out of loyalty, but that was and is the kind of lion he is—he doesn't gossip; he's too noble for that.

He used to roam often, collecting whatever he found in his travels to give to his queen. Now, in his older years and under Hehet's rule, he helps train the king's heir, Dedeke, while helping to protect the pride by staying closer to home. His pridemates adore him, and Hehet appreciates his chivalry and wisdom.
