Såm wants to play king of the hill. Er, king of your shoulders. Versus your tail. Is your tail winning? Yah, totally winning. Your tail is awesome.
Såm rolls in front of you to play, but then she realizes there is a blood stain on her belly. She looks embarrassed and leaves in a hurry!
Såm appears out of nowhere and attempts to tackle you! Sadly, she just thuds against you and flops onto the ground. Stupid dwarf.
You sat up from a nap and wondered out loud where Såm went. Her answering voice right behind you scared the crap out of you!
Diseases: She has dwarfism aswell as a rare genetic disorder like Werner Syndrome which causes her to age REALLY slowly.
Såm waddled over to you when she saw you, her little legs moving as quickly as they could.
Tiny paws peeked over the fallen log. Large eyes appeared, sparkling with amusement as they stared at the little birds fluttering everywhere. Sǟm yawned. The sky was painted purple and red as the tiny lion’s world turned dark. Sǟm sat waiting on top of the log. When would mama come back? She wondered as she played with a wiggly worm. Sǟm was getting really hungry. Where was she? Laying down on her face, she grumbled and whined, but there was no one around to see or hear. Still, she waited. Hours passed, and Sǟm started to get cold. The sun was gone already. She hid inside the hollow log, but the rotting wood did little to shelter her. Finally, after what felt like ages, the sun began to crawl up the savanna. Struggling to climb the log on her tiny legs, Sǟm smiled weakly as the sun hit her face. She saw a large figure running towards her.
“Mama, you came…” She whispered. She let herself close her eyes. She was safe now. The last thing she heard was the shouts and yelps of several lionesses. Something warm grabbed her, and everything went dark.
———
Sǟm’s large green eyes fluttered open. Bright light poured into her blurry vision, and a worried looking face fell into her view. A strange lioness.
“You’re not mama.” Sǟm accused. “Where is she?”
“I don’t know, little one.” The lioness said. Her fangs were huge, and her fur so thick. She looks intimidating, yet warm. “I’m sorry. We’ll take care of you, alright?” As Sǟm fell asleep again, a large, lightly colored lion walked into the room. She saw that scene in her dream, over and over again.
———
“Hello, little girl.” The lion appeared again as she was playing with a tiny mouse. “How are you doing?” Sǟm only stared at him with her huge green eyes. He smiled, putting a paw down in front of her. She studied it, poking the sharp white claws with her tiny paws. The lion laughed. “My name’s Blazingtundra, but you can call me Blaze.” He said. “What’s yours?” She looked at him, confused. “Your name?” Blaze prompted.
“Oh.” Sǟm mumbled. “It’s Sǟm.”
“Well,” Blaze said with a gentle smile, sweeping her up in his huge paws, “Welcome to the pride, Sǟm.”

“No, I’m sorry for getting under-paw, I was just getting some food but I understand I was in your way. I’m so sorry. Sorry.”
Såm is a sweet thing. She’s shy and quiet, an introverted little lioness with a giggly nature and a gentleness that lives within her very being.
Abandoned at a young age, Såm knows the importance of caring for one another. The Marshlanders are her family, the only family she needs, and she loves them with her whole heart. Såm knows she doesn’t necessarily have the means to offer protection or bring in food for the pride, but hopes she can repay them for their kindness with her love and gentle nature, wanting so desperately to let them all know just how much it means to her that they saved her.
Despite her kind and quiet demeanour, it wouldn’t be recommended that you push her too far. She might not be of tall stature, but she can and will destroy your ankles if you happen to piss her off. It may take a fair bit of pushing to get her there, but when you do, you will most certainly regret ever taking advantage of Såm’s softness.
“God has heard. It means ‘God has heard’. I chose it because you saved me. You saved me, so that means someone heard my cries for help. Thank you. Thank you, Blaze.”
