Alectrona, Goddess of Sunrise.
Alectrona means ‘amber, shining, iridescent’. Daughter of the titan lord of the sun, Helios, and Rhode, a nymph, Alectrona beautifully lives up to her name and heritage. Not much is known about her, much because of her mysterious, yet elegant, way. Her focused, kind personality is essential for her to perform her most important function: waking up living beings for another day with her light. The sunrise is stamped on her fur, in her eyes, in the flames that permeate her back. She dispels the darkness and protects everyone with her warmth and glow.
The sunset also marks her life, as all things also need balance and time to rest. If the sun never set, it would never rise. Alectrona understands that balance and plays her part in it with honor.
Surrounded by celestial beings of power and jewelry, she died a hero on the Island of Rhodes, where her mother was from. Her spirit lives on, though, always doing her most important job.
