Grandpaw Sócrates coves over and lays down next to Calliope & Coraline, flicking their tail over to draw the attention of the wild cub. Grandpaw Sócrates continues, giving the rest of the pride some time off from entertaining Calliope & Coraline.
Poor old Grandpaw Sócrates was resting away from the cubs for a reason today, but that didn't stop Calliope & Coraline from bounding over and bumping their Grandpaw's chin with the top of their head in adoration before scarpering off. Grandpaw Sócrates stares after them as they scamper away, but whatever he wanted to say isn't spoken.
Calliope & Coraline is following Grandpaw Sócrates 's every move today - hopping in his footsteps, perking up at the same noises, even swishing and flicking their tail like his. Grandpaw Sócrates is keenly aware that his grandcub is there, but says nothing about it.
Young Calliope & Coraline didn't want to play chase with their siblings today - instead, they decided today was a good day to take a nap with Grandpaw Fᴀɴɴᴀʀ, who doesn't seem to mind Calliope & Coraline clambering over him.
When Grandpaw Fᴀɴɴᴀʀ got up for his evening walk, Calliope & Coraline took no time at all dropping their toy to run over and beg Grandpaw Fᴀɴɴᴀʀ if they could go with him.
As you prepare to patrol your territory, you notice Calliope & Coraline spending some quality time with Grandpaw Fᴀɴɴᴀʀ. How nice. "Uh... where do cubs come from? Well... you see, little one, when two lions love each other very much, or like each other enough, or hate each other--" Wait, what?! You quickly snatch Calliope & Coraline by the scruff of their neck and run away. They are too young to have "The Talk"!
Grandpaw Fᴀɴɴᴀʀ decided to lend a paw with bathtime today, and was given the particularly cheeky and troublesome Calliope & Coraline. Grandpaw Fᴀɴɴᴀʀ threatens to ground them if they don't start behaving.
Calliope & Coraline ran towards their Grandpaw ᴄᴀʀᴅᴀɴ with a lovely ostrich feather in their mouth, only to trip and completely wreck the feather in the process. Calliope & Coraline is on the verge of tears until Grandpaw ᴄᴀʀᴅᴀɴ picks them up and promises to find them all the ostrich feathers in the world.
When one of the broodmothers told Grandpaw ᴄᴀʀᴅᴀɴ that Calliope & Coraline has a penchant for bullying, Grandpaw ᴄᴀʀᴅᴀɴ took his grandcub aside. He made sure that they apologised to everyone they tormented, and told them to shape up - no grandcub of his would hurt others!
Calliope & Coraline threw up on Grandpaw ᴄᴀʀᴅᴀɴ's foot after eating something yucky. Grandpaw ᴄᴀʀᴅᴀɴ isn't mad - he just tells his grandcub to trust their nose next time.
