Kufufuka has experienced much hardship in her young life. Her mother abandoned her to be killed by roaming males on their old territory. Kufufuka wished they had just killed her. Instead, they kept her around. She was forced to hunt for them day after day, and they would only provide her food when she was on the brink of starvation. Akita found her and took her in as a young lioness. Shortly afterwards, he retired and Kiongozzi took his place. Between the two of them, she finds they too freely feed not only themselves, but the pride. Food is worth more than gold, and should be treated as such. Kufufuka has vowed to never starve again. If Kiongozzi cannot feed her even in times of famine, she has no qualms eating the rotting corpses of her pridemates.
