Notes: Born from a mating between Kisiwa's eldest daughter Jioni and a man-eating lion, Habithi is Kisiwa's first granddaughter. Kisiwa was not happy that his daughters chose to mate with a wandering man-eater as he knew the consequences could be disastrous for their pride. Of the cubs born from the man-eater's lineage was Habithi. She inherited her father's dark personality as well as his looks. When the man-eater snuck into the Hatari's territory to see his offspring one night, he was beyond impressed with the young Habithi. Her behavior was fitting of a man-eater and she was gorgeous. He could easily see her using her looks to get whatever she wanted from other lions. So, he devised a plan. While everyone was sleeping, he brought some herbs and stones known for their restorative powers into the pridelands. He stole away his young daughter and performed a shamanistic ceremony on her, then returned her to her mother's side and left. The next morning, to everyone's surprise, Habithi was a full-grown adult lioness.
Habithi was just as shocked as everyone else, and beyond confused. She lashed out at any everyone who tried to come near her to speak to her, except her mother, who she stayed by for comfort. Kisiwa could not understand what had happened. Cubs did not just magically age up on their own. He asked SImba Wanne to investigate and see if she could find any traces of magic from
Aherani.
The night after Habithi became an adult, her father returned to speak to her. He woke her up quietly and introduced himself to his newy-grown daughter. Although she did not know him, she could instantly see the resemblance between them, and did not doubt they were related. The man-eater stole his daughter away once more and concocted a plan with her to take control of the Hatari River Pride.
Their plan was put into action on the night of the new moon when the sky was at its darkest. Habithi, along with her father and a group of other man-eating lions silently approached Kisiwa and attacked him. Luckily for the king, Kisiwa slept in the company of his most loyal lionesses, who were also the pride's fiercest hunters. They were able to easily push back the invaders with minor injuries and the lionesses even managed to kill several of the man-eating lions. Kisiwa was furious. He tried to throw Habithi out of the pride, but her mother came to her rescue. Jioni felt pity for her daughter. She had been suddenly forced to become an adult and was clearly being manipulated by these man-eating lions. She pleaded with her father to allow Habithi to stay in the pride under her watch. Kisiwa agrees that she can stay, so long as she is carefully watched by the pride. He hardly wanted to throw out his firstborn grandcub, after all.
Habithi was furious that her mother was treating her like a small cub. She wanted to be treated like an adult. Being queen would allow her to do that. So, she continued to meet with her father in the dead of the night and concoct a plan B. Her father's new plan would not end with her as queen, since it appeared as though attacking the king directly was not a good idea. Instead, the new leader of the pride would be Habithi's child, and not just any child - her clone. The man-eater collected special herbs and worms for his daughter to eat and brought another man-eater to meet her when she went into heat. She bred with her father's friend and her father helped her to instantly birth the cubs. One of the cubs is a perfect clone of his mother. Habithi brings the cubs back into the pridelands and raises them alongside the other cubs without much suspicion.
Simba Wanne was not without her doubts. She cames to meet the cubs under the guise of scanning them for differences. She found traces of shaman magic on them and Habithi from the cloning ceremony her father had her undergo, just as she had found shaman magic on Habithi the day she was suddenly aged into an adult. Simba Wanne reported this information to her father and sister who put Habithi and her cubs under even closer watch. The man-eater was no longer able to get into the pride, nor could Habithi leave while she was under constant supervision. The plan was in her paws now.
Habithi's cloned cub, Saidia, who preferred to use female pronouns, was a loving, dutiful cub. She was so sweet and willing to do almost anything her mother asked. As Saidia grew up, Habithi tasked her with growing close to her great-grandfather and learning all about the pridelands. Saidia did just that. She followed the king around no matter where he went and learned the territory inside and out. She asked Kisiwa questions about every little thing, and not usually the things her mother wanted her to ask. Saidia genuinely adored her grandfather and loved spending time with him. She had no idea why her mother wanted her to spend so much time with Kisiwa, but she did not complain at all!
Because of Saidia's obedience, it took Habithi a long time to realize that her plan is not going
quite how she wanted it to. Saidia was nearly an adult now, and she clearly loved the king. She was not likely to go along with her mother's plan to kill Kisiwa. Luckily for Habithi, the seemingly normal behavior of her cubs and her being on her best behavior had resulted in less constant oversight from the lionesses. She had more freedom to leave the pride so long as she was careful. Finally, she was able to meet with her father again and tell him how the plan was going. The man-eater was delighted to see his loyal daughter once more, but less thrilled with the state of the plan. How was this cloned cub so different in personality than he and his daughter? He encouraged Habithi to try and convince the cub to help them kill Kisiwa, regardless of her attachment to the king, as she was their best shot in.
When Habithi told Saidia what she wanted her to do, the cub was horrified. She would never agree to helping with a plot to kill her beloved grandfather. Frustrated by her cub's reluctance to complete the plan she had been working on her entire life, she lied to her and told her it was all a joke. When she returned to see her father that night, she was furious and told her father their new plan - what she hoped would be their FINAL plan. A few nights later, that plan would be enacted.
Once again, Habithi and her followers attacked King Kisiwa. Even more man-eating lions arrived to take down the king than before. Much to Kisiwa's chagrin, there were also several Hatari River Pride lionesses among the attackers. Kisiwa's lionesses protected him once more, fighting tooth and claw to keep their king safe, some even having to fight against their own mothers or daughters. Saidia was among those lions, angry at herself for not telling Kisiwa the "joke" that her mother told her and preventing this attack. Although the lionesses were able to prevent Kisiwa from being killed, he was gravely injured by the man-eaters. He would no longer be able to protect the pride the way he needed to. With his severe injuries, Kisiwa would be able to live in the pride as a normal pride member, but he could no longer support the pride as king. Having been too young to have chosen an heir, Kisiwa asked his core lionesses - Amani, Akili, Chakula, Shwari, Jasiri and their daughters - to decide who would be best fit to take over the pride in his stead. To his surprise, they chose Habithi's daughter, Saidia.
Despite being Habithi's child, she had sided with Kisiwa and helped to protect him during the coup. She also knew the pridelands and its lions very well, and was generally a well-liked young lion, as well as being a descendent of the Royal Line of the Hatari. Because she had spent a lot of time patrolling the lands with Kisiwa, she had learned much about the territory over the past few months and Kisiwa was very familiar with Saidia's personality and desires. He had not pegged her as king material, but that was likely because he thought her (and himself) too young to even think about choosing an heir. He did agree with the lionesses, though. Saidia would be an excellent
Kiongozi in her grandfather's stead, even if she was still very young. As Kisiwa was still alive, he could help guide her and give her advice on how to lead the pride. Saidia being a transgender female was also beneficial to the lionesses, as they were keen to have someone with their mindset in charge of the pride (not that Kisiwa had been a bad king - he was adored by his lionesses, but given a chance to choose his replacement, they went for a lady). Saidia was honored to have been chosen. This was her chance to make up for her mistake - not telling the pride about her mother's plan. Although she never told anyone that she had known in fear of being chased out of the pride, she steeled herself to be an incredible leader to make up for her mistake.
When Saidia took over the pride, her first decree as
Kiongozi was to exile her mother and the lions who followed her to the outskirts of the pridelands for treason against the king. Labeled as outcasts, but not entirely removed from the pride, Habithi and her followers were forced to take care of themselves as the rest of the pride essentially ignored their existence. Many wondered why Saidia did not simply just chase them out of the territory for good. Some say it was due to her fondness for her mother that she was unable to remove her from her life. The
Askari, however, know the truth. Tasked with watching over the actions of the
Watengwaji, as they became known, the
Askari keep the outcasts from causing trouble for the pride. By keeping them in the pridelands, Saidia ensured that they would not be able to plot from afar and return to strike a coup against her and the pride. The
Askari followed their every move, always protecting the good lions of the Hatari from those designated as "evil." Habithi certainly won't take all this lying down. She is always plotting something... What exactly does Habithi have in store for the Hatari River Pride and her beloved daughter, their new queen? Only time will tell... But it's definitely nothing good.

Log: As you walk by, Habithi refuses to look at you! She must be angry about something you did before..
Habithi shoots you a pointed stare as you near, snorting at you disapprovingly for some reason or another.
You want to tell a pride mate that they need to correct their behavior, but you couldn't find the words and you felt bad. So, you approach Habithi and ask her to do it for you. She laughs at your ineptitude, but agrees. You can trust her to say what needs to be said.

Going to try to clone her now using Buffies and Crunchies. Look for G1/G2 studs with Ukame, Scoundrel or Ruffian marks and
maybe BO eyes and skin - ideally with BO mane and red base (savage stud bases, if possible). If any Bandit-marked studs show up, those could work, too! And maybe in the process, I'll make an even BETTER cub to king...?
DEAR LORD SHE CLONED FIRST LITTER! Aaaaand she had a GORGEOUS Cinnabar cub, too! What a delight! I'm so glad I aged her up to try and clone her!! What luck~
Only missing slot 7 (Steele Rogue). Maybe RMA slot 7 for something interesting. Unfortunately does not have a good mane, so I'll have to use an applicator to get past that. Maybe Incubus or Diabolic?
Modifications: added slot 1 marking to get closer to the look of her dad, added slot 10 White Mottled Fissures to bring the look together, changed eyes to Dioptase so they POP, 6x Marking Opacity changers to customize her look. Then I decided that I preferred her skin the way Saidia's is, so I changed it to Butterfly and so I can clone her properly, changed her mane to Incubus.
