Jotoriki is the combination of Joto, meaning heat in Swahili, and kufariki, meaning demise in Swahili
Jotariki glides across the desert in search of lost souls/whispers to guide them to their resting places. Whether it be to the gates of Hell, Heaven, Duat, or the celestial kingdom, she'll get them home.
Ones without a place to rest, due to no belief in an afterlife or other reasons shall be sent to Elio, eater of whispers, God King of the Endless Desert, for their soul to be repurposed. For only a God can give a departed whisper a new purpose.
Jotariki'a endless purpose is simple but sad, having to deal with death every day, and no end in sight. Yet when she finds you, alive or dead, she's filled with joy and almost can't stop smiling.
So happy is she to hear your stories, and hopefully that you'll be reborn or seen again before death.

Jotariki isn't alone, infact she's the youngest of three siblings, the last cub born. some days the sisters can get together and tell the stories they have gathered in their line of work. They all agreed that without the other they'd be lost and unable to do their job as Demi gods...
