Fish Sticks was the kings first subordinate to King Xylophone and was sure he had the crown in the bag. Even when Xylophones own son was promoted, he knew he was still the best lion for the job. He liked Apple, he really did, but the kid was just... odd. It was for the best that he was sent off to another pride, and, well, Fish Sticks did take some extra percautions to make sure he never came back. But thats in the past and forgotten.
Now though, he is furious. Not only did the king adopt some soft hearted mut, but he crowned him prince! Prince Grocer, disgusting. Fish Sticks tried to off the little brat, but he was so well looked after and now? He is twice his size and 3 times his strength.
He's going to have to get crafty to take his rightful place as king...
And he was, he was growing stronger too now that he was head of patrols. But the king was smarter than he originally thought. He took in a lion from another pride. Blackberry he called himself. This inexperienced cub was much weaker than he, and yet became the new head of patrols. "We need your strength to protect the lionesses at home" Pantry Guy told Fish Sticks. Yeah right, Pantry Guy probably just wants to keep him where he can watch his every move.
But you know what they say, Idle paws can lead to much harm. And Fish Sticks now had lots of time on his paws. He convinced the king to send Blackberry to his friend, Desertstar. Now he was the sole male in the pride once again. Everyday he looked for an oppurtunity to overthrow the king, but so far nothing.
Until one day, out on a patrol, he came across a little cub, peacefully asleep in the long grass. Fish Sticks grinned, his eyes filling with malice as he prepared to strike down the young cub when somethin caught his eye. A shortened tail and long fangs, a mane already beginning to poke its way out from the cubs neck. He was one of them, a primal, something his father failed to pass to him, the only evidene being his large teeth that protruded awkwardly from his muzzle.
He dropped his paw, and nudged the young cub, who blicked u at him with sleep heavy eyes.
"Where is your mother, cub?" his voice dropping to the most gentle tone he could muster, which wasn't very convincing. "I dunno," the cub mumbled, "she and 'Da told me to wait, then those things came with their thunder sticks and..." The cub trailed off, Fish Sticks almost felt bad, humans were nasty creatures that even he hestated to confront. Now this cub was alone, but he seemed strong, and motivated. He needed a mentor, and what a mentor he could be.
"Ya know what, kid? You come with me, I'll bring you to my pride,"
/lost motivation, he plots about training the kid to have a distane for pantry guy, and to take the king role in his stead"
