-ˋˏ Backstory ˎˊ-

Aster is the elder daughter of Veldrin and Lilac, a traveler lioness who had made a stay within his pride. Aster had lived comfortably with both her mother and sister for the first five months of her life, however at that point her sister was sent home to her mothers home pride, whilst her mother continued on her journey without her daughter. This left Aster in a state of melancholy for a while, though it eventually would be transformed into humor. She soon learned to joke, laugh and have fun using this as a coping mechanism for her mother having left without bringing her. Aster decided early in her life that it was her turn to see the world, so with that she decided to become a traveler herself.

Journal Entry: Aster made her way to the pride that she knew her mother was from. she hadn’t expected lilac to be there, but it turns out she was and extremely happy to see her. aster also saw her sister, camellia. it was a very wholesome visit and after lilac retired (during aster’s visit), she gave aster her tutu apparel that she had been gifted as a traveler. sad to see her daughter go, lilac and camellia said their goodbyes and aster went to her next pride, confident in her travels.

Journal Entry: After seeing her mother, Aster felt confident and wanted to collect stories of prides to bring back to her. Her next stop was Dial's pride.
Dial, the queen of the pride, was just newly crowned ruler when Aster arrived. Since tradition of Cursive, the first king, deemed that all travellers be welcomed as long as they weren't dangerous, Dial accepted her first traveller into her lands and let her stay there for however long she wanted.
The pride's lead huntress, Upload, taught the growing adolescent hunting skills and let her practice along with the pride's huntresses. And once Aster grew into an adult, she became a skilled huntress as well, grateful for the training.
Curiously, another travelling lioness joined her to stay at Dial's pride. Her name was Eternal's Darkness, and she appeared to be cursed. Aster was wary of her, since the sky ominously darkened whenever she was around, but since Dial had accepted her into the pride, she tried her best to not worry too much about it. However, she couldn't quite rid herself of the uneasy feelings, so she just ended up avoiding her.
Eventually, after a long stay, Aster left the pride to seek out her next.

Journal Entry: Aster spent a short time amongst Achlys' small pride; She was welcomed with open paws and curious eyes. The lionesses of the pride showed her their hunting techniques, and in turn she showed them hers. Soon though, she felt the pull of wanderlust and decided it was time to head off; She did not leave without a parting gift from the king though, for with the swish of his tail a small dark duck waddled forth with a honk, a new friend and loyal companion to follow her on her journey.

After a long while of traveling, Aster took refuge in a small pride in the oasis hills.
She spent the next few days resting her paws and enjoying the cool oasis lakes and warm springs that the pride have made their homes near. She was even allowed to pick some of the flora that seemed to miraculously grow out of season.

After some time passed, she gathered her traveling companion and her souvenirs before hitting the road again.

Aster happily joined into the pride with King Raethan welcoming her along with his other pride mates. The lioness joined in on the hunting traditions that the pride enjoyed, even finding a small bird companion to keep with her as she continued on even after she decided to leave Raethan's pride.

Aster wandered for a while until she found Aslans pride. She was invited to stay and happily did so. She went hunting with their huntresses and shared her hunting experience. She loved playing with the cubs and telling them stories. Another lion had joined as a traveler as well named Rage. She took mental notes from the way she saw Rage hunt for herself. Realizing that Rage had rabies she kept her distance. She met another traveling companion and Jewel Skimmer who followed her on her travels when she bid her farewell and continued her travels.

Journal Entry: Aster returned back to Dial's pride temporarily, wondering what the lions she met in her adolescense were up to nowadays. They were happy to see her again, and gave her some nice leg wraps to commemorate her return. Nothing expecially interesting of note happened, so she set off to see another pride.

Journal Entry: Despite the cold weather, there was no shortage of plant life in Liutas' pride. Between hunts, Aster could be found amongst the foliage, her flower decorations helping her blend in with the environment.

As soon as Aster joined Aburr’s pride, her jokes and humor warmed the hearts of every lion there. Aburr took in aster with open arms for a few days. Making sure to keep the newcomer well groomed—as is tradition in his pride. He also kept her well fed in this time of starvation, along with the rest of his pride—his huntresses are top teir, and always bring home prey of five uses or more.

Journal Entry: Coming into the dark, rocky ravine that the pride called home, Aster immediately felt like her lighthearted and entertaining nature was sorely needed. The Pride of Omens had a certain dark, melancholy aura about it, and the surroundings surely didn't help. The traveler spent a lot of time with the king, Mariard, telling the old lion jokes and stories from her travels to cheer the loner up. She also found great fun in spending time in the nursery, playing with the cubs, which the broodmothers really appreciated.

Journal Entry: Aster returned to the Pridelands curious to see what everyone had been up to since she last visited. Seeing so many familiar faces and quite a few unfamiliar ones. It turned out in her absence the pride had a Primal born into it. She enjoyed talking with her old friends including the king telling of her stories and adventures. She enjoyed how much the cubs enjoyed her stories as well. The pride was low on food and she felt bad for them giving her some during her stay. Staying shorter time than she had before she bid everyone farewell and set off with a full belly and a new friend (the parakeet)

Journal Entry: Aster walked into a jungle clearing, seeing a few normal-looking lions chattering amongst themselves, and almost jumped when a larger male crawled out from a hole under a tree, calming herself and looking at him. He was slim, had a very short mane, fangs and a.. bobbed tail? Not to mention his ears were very pointy.. was he really a lion? The male smiled, and calmly informed Aster that he was Mojara, and he was a Felis, a form of primal. He guided her to the entrance of the Celestial Grove, where Juno, the young dragon disguised as a tigon, guided her into the safety of the grove, as she saw more strange lions, and the grove protector sitting atop a rock.
