Aurora, the First Light
When the universe was born, Aurora came into being with the first light of the first sun. Her fur, made of the darkness of space, was tinted with the colors of dawn. She felt that duality inside of her, ripping her chest apart. She felt scared and wandered alone through infinity, always hiding. She didn't know if she was alone, and that loneliness made her cold and evil... much like her brother.
A Family Reunion
Aurora felt threatened by that huge lion in front of her. He looked like her, but so much more colorful. She didn't trust him though, so he would only be able to see her claws and fangs.
Scoundrel had seen her from across the galaxy. He got very excited about finding another being like him, but his toughened heart closed itself the minute Aurora showed herself as hostile. Now they were at a showdown: teeth bared, claws exposed and the whole universe trembled with their snarls.
Nebula came at a hurry and put herself in the middle of them. Both were surprised and Scoundrel tried to get her out, worried about her safety. Nebula wouldn't budge as long as they were fighting.
That's when Albus came and licked Aurora's cheek.
He was fast and put distance between him and Aurora quickly, but in a playful way. Confused, Aurora ran away. She couldn't understand what was happening and she felt that duality inside her again: the dark void telling her to run, the dawn lights telling her to stay. She wished for company all her life, but she just couldn't trust anybody.
The Duality
Time passed, and she started following them at a distance. Watching them, she could see Scoundrel wasn't a threat, even if still ferocious. Nebula was adorable in an awkward way, and Albus was a sweet and lovely little playful spark. She fell in love with that family, but the coldness in her heart warned her of something.
She felt as if she didn't belong. She had too much of that darkness on her. Even if that darkness had stars and some light, it was still consuming her and soon it would consume everyone and everything she cared about.
She tried to get closer, but her chest hurt a lot. The void was screaming at her, killing all the light inside her. She took a step, and another... but, in the end, the void won, and she ran away to a distant galaxy where nobody would ever find her again. Her heart froze as she laid down, the coldness reaching into her fur, alone until the end of times...
