While her preferred method of ruling would have been with an iron fist, the softness of each King leveled her out; though the Queen remained strict in her ways. It was only when Princess Etherealia was born that she began to soften up, taking on more of a motherly role to the cub she had chosen to be her heir. While the Pride respected her, Melinoe could never truly say she had a true friendship with any of her pridemates.
