Fiver has seen a vision of Sandleford being destroyed. Even though all of the other rabbits see it as dumb, Hazel and a few of the rabbits from the Warren decide to leave, to attempt to find the place Fiver speaks of. But will they succumb to the prides lions, or will they florish in their new warren?

The Pride of the Lost and the Found [Spire#244924]

The rabbits were shaken from the realization of what must have happened to their old home. As they carefully wandered this unknown terrain they'd seen many a large creature, lions, fervently attacking and invading rabbit warrens. Although many of the lions seemed only to want decorated eggs there were also many that seemed to just be killing the rabbits for sport and wearing them around as trophies. Bigwig found this to be a disgusting display, and he often brought up his dissatisfaction with it to the group. Hazel kept a close eye on Bigwig afraid the brute would try to go after one of the lions without thinking. Blackberry kept bringing up the point that it might just be something cultural or religious about the lions in the same way the rabbits believed in the Black Rabbit of Inle, though Bigwig continued to say that it was all just rubbish. As night began to fall the rabbits huddled close together in an abandoned warren near a prides territory, they took the night in shifts being nervous considering this warren had clearly been left in a hurry and they didn't want to be caught in the claws of a lion. Hazel and Bigwig briefly argued over first watch, with Bigwig's stubbornness ultimately holding out against Hazel's feeling like he needs to take care of everyone due to being the leader. As the rabbits not on watch squeezed closely together and fell to sleep, Fiver's mind was troubled. Images flashed behind his eyes, images that were hard to make out. Even with his heart racing his body resigned itself to sleep and the images plagued him once more, clearer now. He saw friendly faces of lions and yet could also hear the deafening battle crys in the background. Behind the sweet smiles of a welcoming pride lay thundering sounds of bodies locked together in battle, the snapping of jaws closing on empty air as they desperately try to get at the enemy. Fiver was roused from his sleep by Hazel, who asked if he was alright before turning to Pipkin, who was glaring softly in Fiver's direction, and apologizing for all of Fiver's squirming. Once Pipkin turned away to go back to sleep Hazel and Fiver crawled out from the warren to take Bigwig's place, for once not getting an argument out of the bigger rabbit. They sat outside in the moonlight together and Fiver discussed everything he saw. "Do you think there's a place nearby we could rest at then? Or are the dangers too great?" Hazel questioned quietly, as Fiver huddled close to him. "Yes." Fiver spoke softly. "I do believe there's a group of lions nearby that will take us, if you're willing to risk it." Fiver looked up at Hazel, and they met eyes for a moment. "I trust you, brother." When morning light finally came the rabbit set off to find the friendly faces Fiver had seen. After hours of wandering in the heat and dodging sketchy lions Fiver saw someone familiar. A pair of lions walking together, both with wings folded tightly against their backs. Fiver pointed them out just as the lions spotted them. Bigwig was prepared to defend them as the lions bounded over to see what was happening. The large paws came to a stop just in front of the rabbits, who all backed away slightly. Yet, as the lions peered at them there was no sense of hatred in their eyes, in fact they seemed excited. They called over another winged lion, Manticore Cub, who had recently taken two rabbits as companions. The appearance of more rabbits made the moment less tense and the group was able to settle in with the pride nicely for a while.
One night the rabbits were startled awake amongst the cubs in the nursery as distant roars grew evercloser. Snarling suddenly erupted in the center of the pride, the thudding of heavy bodies locked in combat rung all around. Spire's brother's pride was attacking, eager to get more of the fluffballs to bring to Wenet. Spire and the pride protected the gang fiercly. Suddenly, the battle seemed to freeze right in place, all the lions in the clearing looking around in horror before the lions of the other pride took off with Spire. The rabbit cautiously peeked out from the nursery to be met with a horrifying sight. A body lay still in the midst of where the battle had started. Spire, the pride's leader had fallen at the claws of his own brother, Hallow, his queen was tucked close against him wailing as she buried her face in his neck, not caring as blood smeared on her fur.
The rabbits didn't want to stick around with all the lions anguish, or bother them in a time of mourning. In consideration the rabbits moved on with their adventure, hoping to find their permanent home.

Mammon's Pride #187871
The rabbits arrived at a big basin with tons of shrubs and vegetation. They thought this would be a great place to call home but soon they discovered the pride of lions that lives here were not very fond of their kind. After staying for just a few days, Hazel decided that it was too dangerous to stick around.

Sautn's Pride # 282095
As the rabbits traveled one day the weather turned into an intense storm. They all huddled together as they moved in order to stay together. The storm swirled and they trudged along. Eventually they found a predug hole to stay in and decided to take refuge. They all spent their nights rest in the burrow but through the night and even once they woke, the storm still roared.

Fruit Punch's Territories #221708
The group managed to find an old abandoned den while the sun was shining. However, during this time where the weather was oddly tolerant, they managed to gnaw on some nutricious grasses and roots, given the recent rain. However, the rabbits were chased out by a serval who was apparently in the mood for hunting... they had narrowly avoided becoming a snack!

Kirobane #27783
It was both a surprise and a relief to find a pride of lions that were indifferent to their presence. They were able to find an abandoned tunnel system (possibly left by ground squirrels or meerkats) for them to rest in. There was plenty of grassland and forest for them to hide in within these lands, and dangerous scavengers were often driven away by the resident lion pride. Despite this, they were eager to keep moving once again; although the adult lions ignored the small group, the more excitable cubs kept trying to make a game out of pouncing at them.

MoonlightStar #191309
After mutch traveling the small group found themselves witin a forest, but Bigwig was on high alert as a new scent reached his nose. However his warning was far too late. A large figure already hurled themselves towards the tasty morsels. The rabbits tried to scatter out of the way, but just before the large cat crashed into them, they were quickly pushed off by another. The lioness...adorned in strange clothing snarled at the other. "Do you really think those morsels whould be enough?!" The other lioness hung her in shame as the female scolded her. Hazel despite Bigwig's protests at leaving stayed where he was. Watching the scene...They all froze in place as the western styled queen turned to face the small group. They all made to run but Fiver stepped forwards mutch to the group's suprise. But before he chould speak the western lioness spoke. "Your welcome, but im afraid I can not offer you shelter, not when tensions are so high. Food is becoming more scarce as the season is slowly changing. You should count yourselves lucky, but i urge you all to move on" The rabbits stared at eachother before Hazel bowed his head at the lioness. Offering his thanks, and with that the rabbits soon moved onwards.... Equipped-[GE - India - Great Indian Desert] Khejri Tree

Tess, Pride of the Moon #214545
Story warning: Talk of farming animals to use their fur (for purposes of staying warm)
Visions of white rabbits flooded Fivers mind. Flashes of white on white, and the feeling of being cold to his bones. He shivered and looked towards the mountain. "What do you see?" His brother asked him, recognizing The Look that Fiver got when he had a vision.
"I think we're meant to climb the mountains."
"Climb the mountains?" Bigwig complained, "we aren't goats! We'll stick out like a sore ear against all that white!"
"There are other rabbits up there, its hospitable, I think we ought to go." Fiver repeated. the rest of the group exchanged glances, Hazels, more stern, and the group headed out. There were plenty of rocks and outcroppings to hide the group from circling birds as they ascended the mountainside, the air getting colder and thinner as they climbed.
"Are we meant to drive out the white rabbits and take their warren?" Blackberry asked.
"I dont think so, but I think they may be a help." Fiver responded, keeping is eyes peeled for the next rock to hop on.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Near the top of the mountain, the crew was faced with a massive snow storm, centralized around the peak. They stopped and nervously twitched their noses. Fiver looked around, trying to find any sign of other rabbits, but the place seemed barren, and the bright white of reflecting light off the snow was making it hard to see. He looked back into the storm for a few more moments, making his friends uneasy. Surly they weren't about to plunge into an icy storm..?
"Ok, lets go.." Fiver said, taking a step forward.
"Are you insane?" Bigwig leapt in front of Fiver to stop him. "We'll get killed in there! We'll get separated, and then we'll freeze to death!"
"If we stay huddled in a bundle, taking turns on the inside, we wont get separated OR freeze." Blackberry said.
"Aren't you supposed to help us keep out of trouble like this?" Bigwig retorted.
"I believe in Fiver, I think we'll be safe if we stick together," Chimed in Pipkin.
Bigwig, exasperated, looked to Hazel for support, who in turn looked back at him with an expression that said 'they're right'. He huffed, "Fine, but I'm in the middle first.
Fiver took the lead, with each rabbit pressed in against each other, and took their first step into the storm.
It parted. Just around their small bodies, the storm disappeared. They could still see the raging ice and snow around them, but there wasnt a single gust of wind to rustle their fur. They loosened their ranks just a bit, and kept going, each rabbit watching the storm around them in awe, until they stepped into an empty cave and the storm resumed behind them.
"Well, we cant exactly dig in here.. but we ARE protected.." Hazel said, his voice echoing off the rock walls. They went further into the cave and into a tunnel that led them further in. They picked up the scent of rabbit ahead, and cautiously followed it. Could it be the white rabbits that Fiver saw in his vision?
They rounded a corner and came to face a fence, tightly woven from branches of a Yew tree, and the rabbit scent was strong.
Behind them came the sound of pawsteps, from a large beast. Pipkin turned and froze. An Icy-blue lion with fangs as long as their own bodies was staring at them.
"Uh oh,Kodi , it looks like some of your fluffballs escaped!" He called, moving to block off their escape.
A voice from behind the fence called back. "Impossible! Let me see!" And a furry head peeked over the fence. "Those arent MY rabbits.. but if they want to waltz in, I'll take 'em!" Her head disappeared and her voice called out once more, "Romeo, would you be a dear and herd them in here when I open the gate?"
"Absolutely." Romeo beamed, lowering his body slightly, ready to catch any of them if they fled.
"I do not like this..." Blackberry whispered.
A shuffling noise behind them let them know the gate was open, and Fivers mind was racing, trying to find an escape route, but a look behind him into the now-open room showed him dozens of trapped rabbits and he made a quick decision. He walked straight in. The rest of the group looked at him as if he were crazy. No fight? Not even an attempt? Blackberry was the next to follow Fiver in, then Hazel, then the rest.
"Huh." Kodi said, quickly closing the gate in case any rabbit got any ideas of escaping, and thanked Romeo, who smiled, shrugged, and walked away.
"What are you doing?" "What's your plan?" Bigwig and Hazel said in unison, Hazel ready to put any plan that Fiver was cooking up into action.
"Chatty little ones, arent you?" Kodi said, amused. She didnt seem like she could understand them. "We'll make yourselves comfortable, introduce yourselves to my other rabbits," she said as she turned to walk away towards the back of the cave covered by a curtain made from rabbit fur. Fivers heart was racing. These rabbits were being farmed for their fur, and this was now clear to the rest of the group.
"We have to save them.." Pipkin said, looking around at the other rabbits who were now coming towards them, curious.
"Why did you walk in here willingly?" One of the rabbits asked Fiver.
"To get you all out of here, of course!" Bigwig said. He wasnt trying to pass the idea off as his own, but after seeing the curtain of fur, he was determined to help.
"Well, theres no point in that." Another rabbit piped up.
"Of course there is!" Blackberry said, "I've gotten us out of many situations like this!" 'Well, not quite like this', he thought.
"C'mon, lets brainstorm. Fiver, did you come into this with any sort of plan?" Hazel asked genuinely. Fiver shook his head. He wasnt looking at his friends. He had a glazed look, staring off into space. "Are you having another vision?" Hazel asked. Fiver shook his head. Hazel decided to leave Fiver to whatever thinking he was doing, and turned to Blackberry, "Any ideas?"
"Ive got one," Blackberry said, gesturing to two large branches that were leaned against the wall near the fence. The hide of a mountain goat was hung between the two branches to dry.
“So what,” Bigwig said, eyeing the hide, “we push it over onto the fence? Break it? Then we face the pride of lions on the other side.”
“We’ll do it at night while they sleep, and we will only have seconds to get out before they come investigating, so we’ll need to be organized.” BlackBerry explained.
Fiver was watching the other rabbits, some of whom were listening, some huddled in small groups against the walls, others grazing on the food provided.

~•~•~•~•~

Hours passed and the lioness never left. After a while longer, they heard her breaths and gentle snores.
“She sleeps in here!” Pipkin said, alarmed.
“Seems so…. That’s-thats ok. One lion can’t catch us all, it just means we need to be even more organized.” BlackBerry said and gave a nod to Hazel who raised his voice to the other rabbits.
“Gather around, anyone who doesn’t want to be harvested.” That caught their attention, and the rabbits who were sleeping stirred and looked at him sleepily. “We’re going to need all your help to get out of here.” He hopped over to the branches holding the hide. “We’re going to tip this towards the fence, breaking it open. Now, once it’s down, we need to stay in groups. One giant group will be too easy to herd, and all scattered will be too easy for the lions to pick off one by one, we don’t know how many lions there are here. Each of us,” he said, gesturing to Fiver, Bigwig, BlackBerry, Pipkin, and himself, “will gather a small group of you so we can lead you directly to the exit. I’m not sure if there’s still a blizzard out there, but if there is.. well, it parted for us, so let’s hope it will again..”
The rabbits gathered in 5 groups, each huddled around the giant branches. On Bigwigs count, they pushed. The branches slowly tipped towards the exit, then gathered speed and with a crash and flying splinters, split the fence down the middle, leaving a dip in the shape of a V. Immediately, with Hazels group first, the rabbits fled the cave, jumping over the remains of the fence as Kodi roared in surprise and flung her fur curtain open in time to see the last groups fluffy tails disappearing. She roared again, calling attention to the rest of the pride as she darted after her rabbits.
Fivers heart was pounding. The rabbits that were following him weren’t as close together as he would like, and he was afraid they would scatter as soon as they hit the main cave that led to the exit. He heard the sound of claws on rock behind him but didn’t look back. A few of the other rabbits did however, and froze in fear, quickly being snatched up by lions to be carried back to Kodi’s cave.
The five groups, now a few rabbits smaller, hit the main cave, and just like Fiver thought, more rabbits split off and ran to the walls of the cave in a panic, scattering. Lions swarmed them and trapped them against the walls, and they too were carried back to Kodi’s cave. The rest of them, plunged into the cold of the blizzard. Fiver couldn’t see his friends, but if he diverged, he’d lose the rest of the rabbits he was in charge of. He pressed on until they stepped out of the storm, the rabbits immediately heading towards the cover of trees several feet away.
Fiver stayed at the edge of the storm, eyes flicking to the left and right, waiting for his friends. BlackBerry and his group arrived after seconds, with BlackBerrys group heading straight for the trees as well. BlackBerry joined Fivers side. Bigwig and Pipkin appeared, having only a few rabbits each who fled. “Where is Hazel?” Bigwig asked, looking past his friends into the trees, “did he go in there?”
“I don’t think so,” Fiver said, “I think I was the first one out. I think he’s still in there..”
“Then let’s go!” Bigwig shouted, running back into the blizzard. The others followed quickly so they didn’t lose him. Back at the cave entrance, Hazel was ducking and dodging lion jaws, eyes frantic and wild. Fiver immediately sprung into action, biting down on a lions ankle. The lion roared and spun around, flinging Fiver across the room. He slid to a stop, unharmed and raced to the exit. His bite made an opening for his brother to run, now he had to make it out again. Bigwig was still attached to the tail of a lion.
“LET GO! LETS GO!” Hazel shouted at him, checking on Fiver to make sure he was still coming. Fiver had an adolescent lion hot on his tail so he ran towards them, launching himself in the air, twisting and kicking the young lion in the face and landing next to his brother. Bigwig had timed his release of his lions tail perfectly so that he was flung out of the cave and straight into the blizzard.
Fiver and Hazel followed, seeing Bigwig recover and get back in his feet. The snow broke his fall. The three made it out, seeing Pipkin and BlackBerry waiting anxiously out in the open air.
“Great! Let’s go!” BlackBerry said, leading them to the trees where the rest of the rabbits had gone.

~•~•~•~•~•~

“Is everyone ok?” Hazel said asked once they had reached the trees. All the other rabbits had disappeared, fleeing and scattering deep into the forest. The other four nodded, catching their breath.
“I don’t think that’s where we were supposed to go.” Pipkin said quietly.
“No.. let’s keep looking.” Fiver said.

pluto, world enders pride #159123:

The rabbits found this den on accident, attempting to find solace from the wind and hot desert sand. They hopped up warm limestone rocks to a waterfall that Fiver told them about. After enjoying the water, they realized there was an older lion curiously watching them from the other side of the waterfall.. He didn't seem to mind them, though, and jumped through the water to his den. They took some time to rest before hurriedly deciding where to go next.

(Pr3ttyz#296555) Sun'hazes pride entry:
The bunnies were off to find a place, they traveled for days. The little one; pipkin was terribly tired and asked for a break. The leader rabbit nodded and led them to a small hole. Little did they know..this hole was in Sun'hazes pride; not only that, but it was also in their HUNTING lands. Fiver felt something was off, they said nothing though. The soon to be king was prowling the lands, trying to use his skills that he's been learning. He wanted to show the current king, he was worthy. He caught a sniff of the 5 bunnies, he followed it. Soon after he tracked the bunnies, he found them. He was sneaking up on the hole..he was about to pounce. When a small but strong buck lunged into his side! He got hit with the horns and ran for his life; he feared it was a huge buck. The rabbits came poking out once it was safe. They thanked the buck for saving them. Hazel decided it would be nice to have a big buck around to protect them, she spoke. "Hello, I'm Hazel. These are my friends; we are traveling in search of finding something..." the rabbit trailed off. The buck jumped in the air throwing his hooves up; he was excited for new friends! It had been him for too long. "Oh uh! I'm jacks! Jacks the buck. I'm not afraid of nothing! Wanna be friends? I'm on the move too!" The tiny rabbit pushed his way out of the hole to listen in. "Oh! A buck! Can we? Can we? Please!" Hazel thought about it before nodding her head and agreeing. They all went inside the hole; jacks had a hard time fitting, but he made it! They would stay and rest up for a few days before leaving with their new friend jacks. Now as for tadpole ponds, he had to return home with his hit from the deer and tell everyone what happened.
