black stallion + buffy ♥♥♥ A strong wind rippled through the pine forest all around Nautica. She flattened her ears and squinted her eyes against it. She knew this winter was going to be rough… but she had not predicted it to be this bad. Almost all the prey, which was already scarce, were burrowed down below the surface, attempting to stay warm. Nautica had lived here her whole life. She had known nothing else. Abandoned at birth by her mother, she learned quite quickly how to survive among the barren landscape and harsh conditions. Her fur had grown thick, keeping her warm. Her paws had become rough and worn, helping her travel easier. Her eyes had grown sharper, picking up the slightest movements. Her hearing was comparable to an owl… picking up anything under the snow cover. But this winter was proving to be a challenge… her paws were hurting… her stomach ached… she felt the cold reaching her skin. She was determined however, to make it through. She didn’t know what her purpose was, but she knew she had to become more than just an abandoned cub. ♥♥♥
