A lovely looking lioness sits calmly under a willow tree cleaning her paw. My, what long fur she has! She looks over and notices you staring and warmly greets you, then offers to show you around.
One of the daughters of the first leader and the first queen. Sister to the deceased warrior, Nightstorm. Darkpool is a fearless, optimistic, and a loving lioness.
Served under Bigstar's, Siltstar's, Bluestar's, and Rainstar's leaderships.

Notable cubs: Blackreed is her firstborn and a strong warrior. Sorreltoe is swift and clever fighter and a near-clone to Darkpool. Goosecub, Mousecub, Hawkcub, and Sweetcub were her final litter. Sweetcub is the first piebald to have been born into the clan.
Mousetail was kicked from the clan for not passing inspections. Gooseflight became a warrior while Hawkcry and Sweetberry became guards.
She remained one of Siltstar's mate until the leader's watery death during the civil war. She fought on Siltstar's side despite knowing that Siltstar was misguided and not well. Darkpool fought her clanmates at the battle at the lake. She was one of the lionesses responsible for tracking down Cobratail, her mentor. After her death, Darkpool returned to the normal warriors den as the clan waited for the transitional period between change of leadership. She took a break from warrior duties for a while to recover from her grief from the loss of her mate and the knowledge that her mentor killed her father.
Darkpool was present for the dust storm crisis and worked tirelessly to try and keep the clan fed. She got sick from the poisoned the food and water but she managed to recover. Later when Bluestar returned with her group, Darkpool was suspicious that something was wrong with them. She discussed her fears with Hollymist and the new deputy, Shrikesong. Darkpool was sick of the bullshit that was plaguing the clan that her father worked hard to start. She offered to do some spying work for Shrikesong. Shrikesong paid attention to their new mysterious leader and his mates, one of which was Featherdust. Hollymist kept her eyes on the younger clan members and oversaw all the apprentice training. Darkpool went to watch the elders, as most of the group that went with Bluestar were now elders. After giving birth to her final litter, she was kept in the nursey. This did not stop her from her spying duties though. She had crouched nearby when she saw Rainstar use some kind of power that he had on Hollymist. Darkpool quietly fled back to the nursey with the knowledge that her half sister was now compromised and that things were way worse than they thought.
Not long after, Rainstar took an odd interest in her litter. He congratulated her on such a strong batch of beautiful cubs. When they were apprenticed, she retired to the elder's den. She eventually came to the conclusion that Rainstar was too powerful and she could only watch and hope that he would do the right things for the clan.
Her and her cubs were tasked with building a large rock wall around their territory to keep it safe from invaders during the droughts and fires. When rabies began to ravage the lands, she caught it from Willowleaf and Icestrike. When she was being dragged to the pits to be healed, she freaked out and escaped and managed to infect Rainstar before the clan's guards took her down. Her poor cubs had to watch it all.
