Amethyst is a eternal celestial being in the form of a lioness that greets all the newcomers of the pride. Amethyst joined the pride after the era of the 2nd leader. She had gone to bring him to the afterlife but when the former leader had a final request, it altered her life forever.
Former leader, DarkFlame32 asked her to look after his pride. To welcome all lions, young and old, evil and good. She asked why his wish was to welcome both evil and good and he said that he wanted everyone in his tribe to be happy. But, could a lion love the one who brings hate the same as he loves the one who brings happiness?
Before finding her purpose, Amethyst was once a lost, misguided soul herself, and spent centuries roaming the cosmos searching for her life's meaning. She then stumbled upon the Earth and its creatures. She studied the lifeforms and how the creatures lived their everyday lives, both animal and human.
The day she witnessed a lioness shove her cub in front of a stampeding buffalo, made her question what was truly right. A lioness will sacrifice her own cub if there isn't enough food for herself. But, even through the tough droughts, the humans will avoid harming their young.
After watching Earth for a while, she came to a conclusion. Both sides, animal and human, were cruel. Lions will sacrifice their young so they don't have to worry about themselves running out of food.
Humans will take what isn't theirs in the same selfish way that lioness will sacrifice their young. Weather it's humans stealing fur or lioness getting rid of their young, it's all the same.
When hearing DarkFlame32's request she knew that she had found her purpose. She took the form of a lioness and called herself Amethyst. She swore to watch over and welcome the pride's future generations
