Her Personality
Abaddon'Souls is more of a calm and collected lioness whom carries much patience for others- including her bitter twin sister, Azazel'Batibat. She is very caring and often puts others first. She believes there is at least a little good in the bad.
She is also an understanding, thoughtful, compassionate and kind hearted lioness.
Background
She was born infertile with a twin sister. Her twin sister has problems at the least. She hates her sister's actions but loves her to death. Her sister's name is Azazel'Batibat, She is an evil angel, also known as a demon.
The twin's parents were two completely different people. Their father was a rude, abusive, manipulative, neglective father, He wasn't around much until their mother died. Their mother was a polite mannered happy lioness who fell for their father despite how he treated her. Their father was a black, and blue lion who was just normal, nothing special about him. Their mother was a beautiful and majestic lioness who was also a goddess but not immortal. She was a pretty white with dark blue; she was blind. Their mother died when they were at a young age, not even an adolescent yet. Their mother passed away because of their father, but the twins were never told about this. They were told she died from cancer.
Story of the Twin Immortal Souls

Abaddon'Souls on the day of Azazel'Batibat finding out; She was infertile, and was forced into being a goddess. Her sister sold both her and her own soul to the gods. She was furious; a feeling she didn't feel often. She stormed over to her sister and slapped her; her first and only slap, it was the hardest she ever did. Azazel reacted with shock; it was the first Abaddon fought back. Abaddon then spoke, grabbing Azazel's attention back. ``What were you thinking!? You sold my soul and yours to the gods?! Why didn't you ask me before!? Who are you? Are you even my sister anymore or are you some monster that only thinks about herself?! `` Azazel gasped and was hurt by her own sister's words, she replied to her sister. "I'm sorry, I swear! They said they wouldn't accept my cry for immortality unless I had a clean soul to offer as well as mine. They wanted blood-related; I had no choice! Come on, you would have done it too! Maybe you shouldn't have been such a clean soul! It's all your fault, I mean look at yourself! You should be thanking me! You ungrateful Rat! You're such a golden child, you always get way. So, it's time I got mine. `` Abaddon ran off crying, she flew off into the sky, flying back to her home. She was done with her sister for now, she still loved her no matter how much pain she gave her. Her love had gotten immortal life. Had it gone too far? |She thought to herself. |Did she give too much? Should I stop trying? When will it ever stop? Will she ever change or be the other way? Abaddon had arrived home, she was overthinking in her head as she reached her nest. She lays down, dozing off and forgetting the day. In dreamland, she went.

-------------------------
Hours later, she woke up after saving Zari from her horrible sister. She had not change at all. Abaddon would try to flush out the thought of her sister, instead focusing on Zari. Setting the little cub down on a soft nest, looking quite frightened, possibly due to being far off the ground as the strange albino like lioness with big angel wings carried her to her pride. Zari would have been afraid, if not for the calming aurora of the strange goddess's words that had been spoken. Zari had a random but reasonable thought of how the lioness looked so similar to the other, but yet, so different. "Who are you..? Where am I?" ``Hello, child. I am Abaddon'Souls, an immortal goddess. Do not fear this place, it is a safe home, my home. `` Zari felt at ease listening to this Abaddon'Souls woman, perhaps felt comforted by her voice... she immediately thought of her mother. ``I have watched over you when in my sister's care. I have worried that she would completely neglect you and make your life as miserable as can be. And I seemed to be right. I noticed how she paid no attention to you and your needs and leaving you out in the cold. I finally decided to take you in with open arms which is why I've taken you here, away from there. I'm sure she knows about this by now. ``
-------------------------
Later on in the evening the pride's king, Jupiter Berrie had returned from his daily exploration. He was walking around checking the den and his Bug City- in which he was oddly obsessed with. As he was talking to Dragon, a young sub male, he noticed behind him was Abaddon'Souls and a young cub he has never seen around here before. He approaches the two cautiously to not frighten the young one. Abaddon'Souls noticed the king and turned around to greet him with a warm smile and small bow. Zari too gave a small bow to show respect to the bigger lion. The king gave a welcoming smile as he looked down at the little lioness, "Why hello little one, who might you be?" Zari hesitated for a moment confused of which answer to give since she had been called different names other than her own. "I... I'm not sure. Well my mother called me Wendigo, this scary lady called me Opal and Abaddon'Souls called me Zari.. so, I don't really know." "Ah, I see. Well, what do you want to be called?" Zari looked down at the floor in thought of her names, she seemed to like Zari best. "Zari, I am Zari." Jupiter Berrie nodded, asking to talk with Abaddon'Souls in private. They walk out of the den leaving Zari by herself. "Where did you find her?" Jupiter Berrie looked at Abaddon'Souls waiting patiently for an answer from the kind goddess. Jupiter Berrie wasn't always a nice king; he could be cruel and vicious if pushed enough. But whenever it came to cubs, you can expect him to be the softest cuddle bear if the whole pride! ``I took her from Azazel'Batibat after she had kidnapped her from her own family. I refused to let her treat Zari terribly and throw her away once she was bored as if she were just a toy. So I decided to do something about it and take her away from a possibly already cruel life. I refuse to let my own sister do what our father had done to us. However, I want to find Zari's mother and return her back to her rightful family if that's alright.`` Jupiter Berrie's eyes had softened, he didn't know much about Abaddon'Souls past, but he knew that it was not a happy one, he also knew a lot about Azazel'Batibat due to her being a common occurrence around the prides with her snobbish attitude towards others and her sister as well. "Of course, I believe it's the best thing to do. However, what will you do if you were not to find her... or worse? Abaddon'Souls was taken aback not knowing how to answer. That question must've sent her into deep thought when she was snapped back to reality with Jupiter Berrie calling her name. ``Wha-? Oh, sorry. I'm not quite sure, didn't get to think about it yet. I'm sure we'll figure out something. ``
-------------------------
The day came when Abaddon'Souls had to take off on a journey to find Zari's mother. She had prepared herself for the long travel, in hopes that her mother is alive and well. Zari, Jupiter Berrie, and some of the other pride members came to say their goodbyes and wish her the best on her journey. She took off in the sky at once not looking back in order to keep control of her direction. It would take days of flying non-stop before her wings gave out ultimately falling to the ground from such a height. Hitting the ground, a loud snapping sound was made followed by Abaddon'Soul's cry in pain. Her left wing was broken. She took a second laying still on the ground collecting herself trying to shake off the shock that shot through her body. She let out a low, agitated growl and slowly stood back up trying to ignore the growing pain. She decided she must continue on foot, how annoying. This would take longer than she thought. Continuing on, Abaddon'Souls grew hungry and had already eaten all of the food that she took with her. ``Shoot! That meerkat carcass was all I had left. I knew I should've taken more.``, she said to herself, listening to her stomach growl. An intrusive thought slipped into her mind. ``No. I refuse to do such a thing myself. I can't- it's too cruel.``, Abaddon'Souls shivered at the thought of something so gruesome. Not to mention, she is very squeezy at the sight of blood. She ultimately decided to ignore her starvation and push forward. Big mistake. The next days began to get blurry as it was becoming harder and harder to remember what was happening and even what she was doing. Her body felt heavier as the days went by without food. She felt like throwing up and got a headache. A few more days passed by, and still, no sign of Zari's mother, officially lost, starving, tired, in pain, and nausea finally started kicking in. Abaddon'Souls felt like giving up, but then, in the distance, she saw a big white lion with dark red stripes rippled across her body with a bushy charcoal gray mane and had blank eyes with no pupils, as if they were soulless. She had a gaping mouth with un-normally huge teeth which gave her a monster-like look that could scare even the more bigger and dominant lions. Looking down, she had scars on her legs and what looked like worn-out paws which had a strange substance on the- wait.. was that.. blood? `That's it. This is the end of me.`, she thought before finally collapsing onto the ground and before blacking out, saw the vague figure standing over her.
-------------------------
When Abaddon'Souls opened her eyes again, she was somewhere different; a cave to be specific. She felt somewhat dazed, yet she was no longer starving or anything as if she was fed. Just then, an unfamiliar voice started speaking which caused Abaddon'Souls to jump, "Good, you're awake. Almost thought you wouldn't make it. You were pretty banged up when I saw you". Abaddon'Souls just stared blankly, still out of it. The silence must've been excruciating because once again the unfamiliar lioness spoke, "My name is Zarican. I've never seen you around here, who might you be?" Zarican sat up from her spot to walk over closer to where Abaddon'Souls weakly layed. ``I'm Abaddon'Souls. I'm from the humble lands, a member of King Jupiter Berrie's pride.`` She said slowly sitting up to meet face-to-face with Zarican. Getting a closer look at the distinct lioness, she noticed how Zari and her looked so much alike. "Nice to meet you, I would love to stay and chat here but we must go. This place isn't the safest to stay in, especially at night- We're in hyena territory." Hearing this, Abaddon'Souls nodded in agreement and followed Zarican out of the cave. Hours have passed since they left, and the two talked about many things like each other's pride and what their roles were in them. Abaddon'Souls spoke about how she became an immortal Goddess. Zarican talked about her family and how she had a daughter that went missing a while ago which caused her to spiral into depression. Just then, Abaddon'Souls realized she is Zari's mother. ``Are you Wendigo's mother?`` She said urgently to which Zarican's eyes widened significantly and turned around to meet Abaddon'Souls face. "How do you know Wendigo? Where is she?" She said desperately. Abaddon'Souls answered ``Safe, back at our pride after I took her away from my sister that stole her from you.`` "Well then, thank you for that. Let's get a move on there shall we?" She said with a smile. Abaddon'Souls nodded and off they went. 3 days passed and they've made little progress- due to Abaddon'Soul's broken wing and currently being limp. They were still in hyena territory and were able to find shelter for the past few days, but on this one particular fatal night, they had nowhere to hide away from the dangers so they had no choice but to push through the night. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned for these lionesses. Halfway through the night, the two lionesses became very tired and seemingly distracted that they failed to notice the rabid hyena pack that slowly formed and stalked them from far away hidden. One hyena let out a wicked cackle but before anyone of the two could react, hyenas started to swarm them, making it impossible to escape. "Rabid hyenas! There's no way to get out of this but to fight!" Yelled Zarican, taking a defensive pose ready for fight. ``But- I don't know how to fight! I've never properly fought someo--!`` Just before she could finish her sentence, a hyena lunged towards Abaddon'Souls and got a hold of her causing the hyena to make a huge slash across her neck. Abaddon'Souls jumped back screeching in agony. Zarican yelled "War!!" and started pouncing and clawing at the hyenas, really kicking *ss as the song Maniac by Michael Sembello started playing in the background. Abaddon'Souls moved out of her way as Zarican continued to fight slowly getting overwhelmed until she was unable to keep on it. Something inside of Abaddon'Souls snapped, she immediately shot herself at a hyena by the neck, grabbing them tightly and throwing them to the side, and snarled at it before turning to deal with the hyenas on Zarican. It must've been the adrenaline but Abaddon'Souls was furious and terrified. She was terrified of letting Zarican die and furious at herself for cowering away. She continued to throw hyenas off of Zarican all while making sure none got on her. Zarican was very bloody and wounded, but still pushing. The two of them stood side by side fighting off the hyenas when all of a sudden Abaddon'Souls turned around to see Zarican on the ground with her neck in a hyena's mouth. In shock and in the heat of the moment, without thinking, let out a loud godly roar that shook everyone to the bone. Her eyes started glowing and anger raged and poured out from inside her. Absolutely terrified, the hyenas ran off leaving Zarican lifeless on the ground bleeding. Abaddon'Souls regained herself, too scared of what she had just unleashed. She ran to her holding her breath. She lightly nudged Zarican's head tears filling her eyes. She thought of Zari and imagined how she'd react hearing about her mother's death. Her heart wrenched at that thought. ``I'm so sorry Zari...`` She buried her body in a beautiful, peaceful-looking area and made a grave for her, and set off for home.
-------------------------
It's been a few days since the fall of Zarican and Abaddon couldn't feel guiltier about it. I mean, how could she not? She failed to bring home Zari's mother alive and also failed at reuniting her and Zarican. She overall failed everyone. She dreaded what to say to Zari about the situation. She couldn't just lie to her about it, but she also couldn't say how she died. Abaddon finally decided to tell a half-truth. It was raining hard which made it hard to see in the distance. The day seemed to fall short and Abaddon went to find nearby shelter, preferably a cave of some sort. She found a few giant rocks piled in a tent-like form that created a way to rest under. Abaddon shook her whole body to help dry her heavily soaked fur coat. She went to lay in a comfortable position as she listened to the heavy rain hitting its surroundings making tapping and pattering sounds, which eventually Abaddon fell into a deep sleep too. A low calming lullaby started humming in her ears as she slept. There was a soft noise of what seemed to be windchimes that played that sounded very far away. Abaddon slowly opened her eyes to be greeted by a large and beautiful lavender field with butterflies of many kinds fluttering around. One of the butterflies, a Peral Emperor, landed on her nose and she felt a calming sense of feeling wash over her. The beautiful butterfly gently fluttered off and flew a small distance before transforming into an all-familiar lioness. It was Zarican. "Hello, Abaddon'Souls", spoke Zarican giving a gentle bow before continuing. "As you must've noticed, I am dead. And I feel the heavy guilt that weighs on you." Abaddon tried to reply, to no avail. It was as if a strange force was preventing her to speak. "No need to explain yourself or even apologize, I know exactly what you mean just by looking at you." Zarican whispered as her eyes softened gazing at the abnormally albino lioness that had tears welling in her's. The soft lullaby continued to hum with the wind chimes in the background as the sun’s gaze lay on the two lionesses. Zarican took a few steps closer to Abaddon and swiftly took a seat next to her. Abaddon followed along. The calming breeze ruffled the two’s fur a little bit before Zarican spoke again. ”What happened was not your fault at all. You’ve done your best for someone who has never been in a fight of any kind. So for that, I respect you. However, what’s inside you is a different story.”, she spoke with somewhat concern in her tone. Abaddon couldn’t help but fall curious until she remembered that night of the fight. That loud bone-shaking roar. A roar far mightier than the mightiest lion king. A pink glowing essence seemed to glow within her and showed only through her mouth and eyes. She remembered how she only felt fury, fury that had been building over time that poured out into that one roar. She remembered how she felt the strong urge to kill. She had only snapped out of it when the hyenas shook in terror and ran away. And to be fair, it even scared her. Suddenly, Zarican spoke once more which snapped Abaddon out of her thoughts. ”You have a powerful being in you. Anger had built inside of it for years and had finally been let out. Learning to control and manipulate that power can be a great advantage to you and others. Especially when it comes to protecting Wendigo.” Abaddon’s ears perked up as she got a twitch of anxiety that suddenly shot through her. `What does she mean by “protecting Zari”?`, she thought to herself. Zarican took in a small breath before continuing, ”I, Zarican, lay my beloved daughter, Wendigo, in your care, Abaddon’Souls. I know you will be the best mother and guardian to her. I thank you for your attempt of helping us find each other. Abaddon tried to speak once more, but just then a sudden loud and threatening cackle along with the bright whiplash of lightning struck jolting Abaddon wide awake. She took a second to take in her cold, dark, and unwelcoming surroundings. The only words she could muster were ``But- why me..? And if I have this so-called powerful being.. Then.. is it possible that Azazel also has a powerful being herself? And if so, where did we inherit it? Was it from our parents? Was it when we were turned into Gods?``. She needed answers, but perhaps not today, for she couldn’t think straight and decided it was best to get some rest so she could get back on her journey home. The soft lullaby started softly humming once more as the sounds of the heavy rain carried Abaddon back to sleep.
-------------------------
Abaddon took off at dawn to get a head start since her wing is still pretty banged up. Walking really made her realize how long it really took to make progress. Approximately an hour have passed when she came across a fallen tree that looked like it was cut off by its stem. Abaddon then looked around the area and discovered a fallen Gazelle that was left to rot and was now infested by maggots and other decomposers. She recognized it when she passed it for the first time on the flight. ``Hah! I have to be getting closer now- I think so at least.`` She thought to herself before continuing on. Two long and excruciating hours went by and Abaddon’s paws started cramping as well as her legs started shaking. ”Gah! My legs are killing me! I could quite literally drop dead right now” Just then, not far to her side, a small chuckle was released and telling by the way it sounded, you could immediately tell it was a hyena. The hyena came out from behind a tree a little shyly and seemed skittish. He was a striped hyena and seemed to be alone. Abaddon quickly tensed up with remembrance of what happened that night. It was like the pain in her body was now numb as the adrenaline started creeping up in her. The hyena must’ve noticed because he scrambled to introduce himself. ”O-oh I uh, sorry I didn’t mean to seem like a threat, I am Laharu, but others tend to call me the lone wanderer.” Abaddon, not letting her guard down, spoke with a calming tone. ”Hello, Laharu. I am Abaddon’Souls. Did you need something from me” Laharu took a few steps closer and laughed a little. ”Woah that’s kind of a long name, did your parents have a hiccup?” Abaddon stayed quiet, narrowing her eyes at the now awkward hyena. ”uh, I- well, mm. Anyways!” He half choked out, (must all lions be so sensitive about their names?) ”I heard you talking to yourself and I thought you’d be a great actor- being dramatic and all. But I figured I’d ask if you need help finding something.” Abaddon’s body finally felt at ease as she felt that he would most likely be of no harm. She looked around for a second, taking in her surroundings. ”Yes actually, I’m returning to my home pride, of King Jupiter Berrie. But with my broken wing, and wounds, that makes it much more difficult.” Laharu’s head perked at the name. He then gasped in Spanish. ”Hey I know him! He shouldn’t be too far away from here.” Abaddon felt relieved hearing this. ” If you keep going this way through the dry savannah, you will make it to the temperate savannah and then you can go from there, assuming you know your tracks.” He instructed, pointing in the direction. Abaddon nodded readily to take off. ”Oh, and here, you look like you need it. You owe me though.” Laharu handed over a small leather bag with some small rodents. ”Thank you, I’m sure we will meet again someday.” They parted ways and Abaddon followed her way back as instructed.
-------------------------
She felt comfort as she passed very familiar lands and would greet the lions that she would cross paths with. Abaddon was taking in her surroundings until she finally spotted her home pride. She excitedly ran towards there and a few fellow pride mates spotted her by then, rushing out to her given her condition. A few lionesses, such as Twilight, Early’Winter, Dusk, and Spotted’Wonders who’ve known Abaddon for a while came towards her asking her all kinds of questions about her trip. Eventually, Jupiter Berrie, followed by Zari came out of a den after hearing a commotion going on. Zari’s face lit up as she ran to Abaddon waiting eagerly for her response with a hopeful expression, that turned confused seeing her mother was nowhere to be seen. That only made Abaddon’s stomach wrench. Jupiter, already knowing part of the result, softened his face and greeted her. Abaddon shared the same look and turned to Zari. I’m so sorry, Zari.. she was already gone when I found her near hyena territory. Zari’s face dropped. She didn’t say anything and just walked away back to the den. The pride mates fell quiet as well, with a sorrowful look. ”What now?” Softly spoke Dianthus, a young sub male, new to the pride. ”We let her mourn, with all that’s happened, this must have taken a toll on her.” Jupiter spoke, turning away. Slowly the pride started to disperse and Abaddon escaped to Frog Fall’s pride where a beautiful garden was kept by a small dwarf named Cordette’Athea who is a good friend of hers. She lay down feeling the soft grass and finally closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes again, it was dusk and everything has fallen quiet. No wind, no sounds, nothing. She rolled on her back and lay there towards the stars that started to show. All of a sudden, a pearl emperor, like the one in her dream, landed on her nose which made her remember what Zarican had told her. ”I, Zarican, lay my beloved daughter, Wendigo, in your care, Abaddon’Souls. I know you will be the best mother and guardian to her. I thank you for your attempt of helping us find each other.” That was enough to make her get up and go to Zari. She may not have been able to protect Zarican, but she will protect Zari. Coming back, Abaddon went looking for Zari where she lay near the shore of a lake where the water shimmered and glistened from the moon that has now appeared, replacing the sun. The stars are brighter than ever with the moon’s light hitting Zari’s and Abaddon’s beautiful white fur coats making them seem to glow just like the stars. ”It’s a beautiful night isn’t it?” Spoke Abaddon gently, gaining Zari’s attention. ”Yeah, would’ve been if not for the news of my mother. She replied back, turning her head to face the lake once more. Abaddon sat down next to her, putting her wing over her for comfort. ”I know what it feels like to lose your mother at such a young age, the time you need them the most.” Zari’s eyes widened a bit but continued to listen. ”We were told she passed due to cancer when we were just seven months.” Zari’s face softened as she looked away from Abaddon. Zari trailed off in thought. `For someone, I rarely know, we have some things in common. She also has this- calm demeanor that could probably get the most untrusting lions to trust her` Abaddon spoke up, snapping Zari out of her thoughts. ”I’m really sorry about your mom, by the way. I really tried to bring her back so you guys could be together again. I’m sure she’d have loved to see you again.” Zari gave a small, sad smile while still looking at the lake. The two stayed silent for about five minutes, while crickets chirped and frogs croaked. ”You know, you’re a brave girl, Zari. Having to go through all this so young. You must’ve felt so alone.” Abaddon finally spoke, breaking the silence. Zari looked up at her with a hopeful glint in her eyes. ”But I’m not alone, I have you.” Abaddon was taken aback but quickly calmed back down and matched Zari’s hopeful expression. All of a sudden, a pearl emperor fluttered out from Abaddon’s feathers and landed on top of Zari’s nose. ``Is that the same butterfly from the garden and dream?`` Abaddon thought. She became confused when tears streamed down Zari’s face. ”Pearl emperors were her favourite..” She sniffled. Abaddon looked away to see the moon. ”Even though she’s no longer with us, she will always be here to watch over you.” The two of them lay at the lake for the rest of the night watching the stars until Zari fell asleep and the pearl emperor flew off into the moon. ”I will make sure she is an accomplished young lady with a bright future.” She whispered before going to slumber next to Zari, who still had a wing over her.
-------------------------
A year and a half later, Azazel'Batibat has matured and grown lonelier. Shes still been rude to everyone who knows her besides her sister whom shes been out of contact with for the year and a half. As for Abaddon'Souls, she has been taking care of Zari, trying to find her real mother with very bad results. Shes also been focusing on others more than herself. Shes teaching Zari how to be a proper lioness. Zari had grown into an adolescent by this time, she would soon be grown and on her own; She would still have Abaddon of course.
-------------------------
Azazel'Batibat went on a late-night walk, she was not flying like usually. She wanted to feel normal. She would sit down in the meadow glancing up the moon once more. As she was look up, her karma caught up to her. She would get jumped resulting in terrible wounds and leaving her almost dead. Abaddon'Souls would feel something in the night, she got up to leave Zari in a panics state. Zari was confused but was sleeping so she rolled over and ignored her leaving. Abaddon'Souls would feel something wrong with her sister to be exact, she would fly up the air, searching the night for her sister. She finally saw her sister, she was breathing heavily and wounded badly. She swooped down tears falling down her face. ``Azazel! Wake up, Oh sister! What have they done?! `` Abaddon would cry out, picking her sister. Azazel would speak. " Abaddon? is it really you? Oh, how I've missed you. I've. I've been attacked. There was way too many to fight off. I'm afraid I won't make it." Abaddon would take a moment to think. What was going on? Why was she being nice? |She thought. | Was it a trick? But Shes dying, maybe she's telling the truth. Maybes she really changed. Azazel knew what her sister was thinking, she knew how she had been to her, she continued speaking. "Abaddon, I know I've treated you poorly. I'm truly sorry, I should have never been so rude. to- to my sister. I look back at those times, with shame. I wish I could take it back, but I cannot. I hope you can forgive me; I've learned from my mistakes. I'm trying to change..." Abaddon would hold her sister tight, embracing her in a hug. She had forgiven her. She was ready to help her change. As if magic, something would happen. When they were hugging a light shined on them. Azazel was being healed. They both looked at each other laughing and crying with joy. The gods had found Azazel worthy of saving. She was a goddess after all. They both jumped up with joy, extending their wings. Flying off into the night in celebration, magical lights would come out of the sky as they flew.
