Stemblossom

Born with a rare gene most lions don't have, she often attracted kings of prides. Her rare mutation was hard to come across and many kings wanted to have cubs with her to hopefully pass it on. It wasn't until one king finally impressed her enough to join his pride.

The king who brought her in, however, was not interested in passing on his genes with her. He tried to think smarter than that. Instead, he offered her heat to other kings who were also mutated to hopefully have higher chances of mutated cubs.

Stemblossom only ever had 3 cubs, all daughters. None of them carried on the mutation gene, much to her king's disappointment, but she lived a long and loving life. As she grew older, breeding started to become impossible and her king could no longer hold a place for her in his pride. He searched and searched for a pride who would willingly sacrifice space to retire her and care for her properly until she passed on.

One day, he came across a smaller and newer pride. That king was in awe of the older lionesses beauty and immediately offered her space, even though he was fully aware she would never be able to bear his or any other cubs. The king was understanding of the Stemblossom's situation and wanted to provide a safe a loving home. Now she resides in Muerto's pride where she is a broodmother and cares for the young cubs that are born into the pride. Because of her age, Muerto gave her the title of "Queen" in honor of her experience she's had throughout her life.
