In her youth, Chara was brash, brave, and loyal to a fault. She was one of not so many primals in the pride. It didn't bother her that much, as she found her best friend in Alnair. They would spend most days together talking, wrestling, pranking, and generally being a menace. Well, Chara was at least, as she was the one who dragged Alnair into trouble.

However, everything changed once the current queen, Aina, asked her to be her heir and take her role once she retires. At first, she wanted to decline, but only a fool would not accept this type of proposition. Reluctantly, she agreed. Afterward, she barely had any time to play with her friend, and neither did he have any time for her, as he's been crowned Saburi's official heir as well. Both of them were terrified of their new roles in the pride, but they would have done whatever it took not to disappoint. Training for her new role changed Chara immensely. Due to Aina's instructions, she became more level-headed and calm. She began relying on cold calculations and cunning to resolve issues regarding diplomacy.

Eventually, the time came to ascend to the throne for both of the primals. Now, both of them could spend more time together, as they shared the same cave. Over the first few months of their rule, Chara started getting closer to her best friend. She began regarding him as more than that, and as she soon found out, Alnair felt similarly toward her. It wasn't long before they became romantically involved with each other.

Despite the hard exterior that years of training under the previous queen have built, at heart, Chara is still passionate and a bit of a hot-head. She is more willing than Alnair to turn to violence if she perceives it necessary for the safety of the pride.
