|Has Produced 3 Or More Muties (Mane Fluffy, Bobtail, and a Pie: Clouded!)|
Lucky, who at the time did not have a name, was laying under a tree; the sunlight that leaked through the leaves spotted her previously cream-colored pelt. She lapped her tongue over her side as she relaxed in the shade, watching the savanna with half-closed eyes. She became more alert as a stick crunched behind her, and she whirled around to see a gray lion approach.
"Oh! Hello there!" She purred, nodding at the lion. The lion nodded back and sat nearby, beginning to clean their dusty paws. They looked like they wanted to speak, but they stayed quiet for a bit.
"So, would you be interested in joining my pride?" They asked quietly, and the cream lioness whipped her head around. She tilted her head before replying with her own question, "I thought only pride leaders could invite new lionesses to a pride?"
"That's true, ma'am. I am a pride leader. I can explain it later if you come with me?" The gray lion suggested, tilting their head. The lone lioness thought about it for a minute.
"Okay, I'll join your pride, but only if you can impress me!" She chuckled. *Claiming Screen And Succeed.'
"Well, I'm impressed, uh.." She started, before realizing she didn't know the pride leader's name. "My name is Kirei, it means beauty, or beautiful."
"Well, I am glad to have joined your pride!" She purred, and Kirei looked shocked for a second. "Have you eaten cotton root bark?" He asked, and she shrugged.
"I was pregnant when I left my original pride, but I was hungry and couldn't find food so I ate this plant, but I have no idea what it was. I didn't give birth after I ate it, but the last king sucked so I didn't mind!" She explained, "What is cotton root bark anyway?"
"Cotton root bark is a plant or herb that causes lionesses to lose their litters, it increases a chance of a mutated lion to be born, and increases the chance of a deadly mutation," Kirei explained, slipping under a leaf and disappearing. The lioness was shocked and followed behind, shocked to enter a clearing with a small stream running through it. Lions watched as she entered the territory, and she kept her eyes on her paws.
"Here, this is where you'll sleep for right now! I need to set up a spot in the main den for you, hold on a minute," Kirei padded away, gathering up some feathers and moss for a sleeping nest.
"Okay, follow me to the main den, ma'am. Say, how long ago did you eat the bark?" The gray lion asked as they padded over to the very crowded den.
"About three days ago, I believe. Why?"
"Lionesses are said to go back into heat three days after they eat it. So, would you like a litter of cubs?"
*Three Days Later.*
"Kirei! Come see the cubs!" The lion purred. Two cubs, one was a normal looking gray one, while the other was a brown bobtail.
"They are so wonderful! Come, let's see if the Falcon can detect a mutation in the gray one!"
"There is something wrong with your cub, young Kirei." The Falcon screeched, looking down upon the gray one.
"Thank you, Falcon. Enjoy the beetles!"
"What's wrong with our cub? Are mutations bad?"
"No, as you can see, I'm mutated. Echo Piebald. Bobby has a bobbed-tail, and the mutation she has is probably a mane mutation, but a double uterus would be quite the money maker!"
*Two years pass. Bobby went on a patrol and was killed by an angry elephant, and both lions are upset. This is around the time when Lucky earned her name.*
"Mother! Father! I've grown extra fur!" The gray cub, now an adult, roared in fear.
"It's quite alright, young one. How about the name Fluffer? And your mother has earned the name Lucky."
|Fluffer and Bobby were the first cubs of the two, and the last two cubs were the same, Long Storm and Broken Branch. Salt Rock did not belong to Kirei, but was cherished just as much. Both Kirei and Lucky are deceased, but they wander in the stars together.|
