Biography
The entrance to the cave was carved from the bones to resemble intertwining long grass all the way to the top, curving and curling as if you were pushing the grass aside to peer in. Inside was warm, like a midsummer day, and glowed a relaxing tan. The scent of prey and north-bound wind filled your nostrils as you stepped into the cave. Your paws hit the soft dirt and the grass sways against your body as you move through the golden tan plants. Your eyes adjust to the "sunlight". Staring up, you could see the sun and a cloudless blue sky like it was a haze, a projection over the rocks of the cave. If it weren't for the warmth on your fur and the grass underneath your paws you'd think this whole thing was a hallucination or a false creation of sorts. Lowering your eyes, you can see a rock standing out of the golden grass. Atop this rock was a set of bones. The bones were of a large lion, nose tipped up and broad shoulders set as though he could jump off of the rock any second. You approach the rock. The bones were tied together with long strands of savannah grass and suspended on what you could assume was the tension across the bones and the paws attached to the rock. You place a paw on the rock to get a closer look. The rock falls slightly under your paw. You jump back, staring down. The rock had a paw shaped inlet just to the left of where you had set your paw, enough were one of your paw pads would have hit the outer corner. The engraving was glowing a pale golden brown. A crackle sounds from above you. The bone head was now staring down at you. You take a few steps back. The bone head follows. The bones crackle a bit longer, then lunge forward towards the empty space you had put between you and it. As it hit the ground, flesh started to seemingly grow, starting at the paws and growing up. Pale tan fur and cheetah-like patterns making her look like a cheetah-lion hybrid form across the red flesh. Soon you were face to face with not a lion, but a large lioness. She took a deep breath, broad shoulders shrugging with the force of it. Her pelt radiated warmth even from the distance.
"Hello." The lioness's accent was thick and heavy. "I don't think I've seen you here before. Are you new to the pride? A traveler?" She sniffed you, tail wagging excitedly and paws tapping the ground. For a scary looking lioness, she sure was energetic.
