Eclipse

This young cub had been thrown out of her pride, being told by her king "You'll be worth a few gold beetles." before walking away. The cub was dumbfounded, not expecting to be thrown out of the pride. While she waited a day or two, a large colorful lion approached. "Come little one. I will take you to my pride! You'll be welcome with open paws. Just about everybody has their own quirks." He told her, giving her a soft smile. She nervously followed him, never seeing him before. "Sir, may I ask what your name is?" She questioned. The male smiled. "My name is Shmebulock. Weird name, I know. But the previous king gave me that name, and I've stuck with it ever since." He chuckled. "Do you have a name young cub?" She shook her head. "I was never given a proper name." She sounded a little disappointed.

Shmebulock glanced forward. "Here we are little one." He murmured before leaping onto a rock. He let out a large roar, telling everyone to gather around him. The young female looked up, eyes wide in awe. So cool! He looked down at the cub, smiling. "Everyone, we have a new member. Since she was not given a proper name, I will be giving her one today! From now on young cub, you will be known as Eclipse!" The newly named Eclipse jumped for joy. "Thank you Shmebulock! I love my new name!" She excitedly ran up to him, nuzzling against him. Shmebulock looked down, a bit surprised. He then pulled the cub in close and purred. "Of course young Eclipse. You deserve to be in a pride that recognizes your strengths." She'll never forget what he told her..
