Raja was once a lone wandering lioness, injured, heartbroken, and just about ready to lay down and die. As a young cub, she was stolen from her pride by a group of humans seeking innocent cubs to exploit for money. She was the star of the show, performing tricks and being really friendly with the humans, they called her "Radiant
Raja". When she became an adolescent her handlers sold her off to a circus, where they used her performing talents to the point where she was left weak and tired from all the work.
Eventually, "Radiant
Raja" was not so radiant anymore, and due to her being obtained illegally, her owners decided to drop her off in the wild rather than bring her to a nature reserve to prevent any questions from being asked.
Since she was so foreign to wildlife,
Raja quickly began to succumb to starvation and dehydration, survival instinct failing miserably. That was until a newly emerging pride leader
Destan found her. He had little to spare and yet chose to feed her instead of himself, very well saving her life as he continued to nurse her for weeks on end. She owed her life to him, and yet when she finally had enough strength he asked if she wanted to leave.
Previously, many lionesses had rejected
Destan. They had thought because of him being so weak at the time that he would never be able to provide as a pride leader. But that night, when he saved her when he so caringly looked after her, she knew he would do anything to keep his pride safe. It was then
Raja became the very first lioness of the Aurum Pride.
Destan immediately crowned her his queen and main lioness, so grateful for her trust in him Raja may not have been the best hunter or the rarest, but her trust in him proved to be worthy of more than anything.

Bonding: Good morning, traveler, what brings you here today? Just here for a visit? Alright then, I was just counting the pride's money hoard. Why of course, as Queen it is my responsibility to take into account all of the necessities, from silver beetles to kob pelts. Now, don't go stealing, I've counted these items dozens of times I'll know if one goes missing.
About Destan: Ugh! He just gets me so angry sometimes, Destan is a magnificent king, no doubt about it, but he is rarely willing to take risks. When I first joined his pride, I made it clear that I would be seen as an equal, but it seems sometimes he forgets that when he bosses me around. I know he just wants the best for the pride, wants the best for me, and it's not like we argue often, but still, Destan manages to tick me off in the worst of ways. Hmph!
Favorite Event: Oh! I love watching the blood lilies bloom with the other lionesses. Once a year Destan and I gather up the pride and we go to a field not too far from here. It's so beautiful, you really must see, the puffs of red blossoming, the fireflies that glow in the field, I love it all. But Destan always has to leave early, the pollen throws him into a sneezing fit, heh.
About Xeres: Oh! Isn't he just the most handsome boy? My sweet Xeres, could never forget the day I found him. How he manages to survive the storm I'll never know, I mean I barely survived myself! He's so gifted and talented, I know he will make a fantastic member of the pride long after I and Destan are gone. My little scout.
About Cepheus: My other son, I'm a very proud mama indeed. Cepheus is younger than Xeres, but I and Destan knew he was going to be the next king. Xeres never had an interest in the throne whenever Destan tried to bond with him, he'd much rather explore the savannah. But Cepheus, my dear boy, he was ambitious to rule it all. But, Destan worries. Cepheus has always had this sort of darkness about him, we suspect he got his blessing from Obscustella rather than Mundus. This is sort of the reason Destan used a... tough love with him. He wanted to make sure the next ruler was not strayed by darkness. I fear it may have caused Cepheus to feel Xeres was favorited, and perhaps a resentment in himself.
About Being Queen: What? Just because my mate stepped down from his title as king doesn't mean I have to give up my crown! Untill Cepheus decides on a mate, I will remain as ruler. And I have a feeling that may be till the day I die, that boy doesn't care about love. I can only hope one of my other children gives me and Destan grandbabies.
