Aphrodite

Aphrodite was born as one of 3 cubs in a very large pride to a sub male named Aphaea and a newly claimed lioness that had yet to earn her name. Growing up Aphrodite was surrounded by dozens of cubs as the king of the pride was quite the stud. However the king and other lionesses treated her and her siblings like they where less then because they weren't cubs of the king.

At only 8 months of age Aphrodites mother and father where both killed because her father tried and failed to challenge the king for his throne, and because of her mother being his mate and not a very good huntress she was killed after he was to show Aphrodite and her brother and sister a lesson.

When Aphrodite matured she started to spend more and more time out on hunts and on one of them she found an injured Rouge male by a watering hole. She hesitantly nursing him back to health as they earned each other trust.

Over athe course of few months the pair rather quickly fell in love but could only see each other in secrete. During her first heat Aphrodite tried to go on a hunt and get to her mate but the king got to her first and she unfortunately fell pregnant with his cub instead of her mate's.

Devastated she stayed away from her mate for the majority of her pregnancy until her pride was attacked by a larhe hoard of jackles and all of the pregnant females went running into the pride lands.

During her escape she ended up running into her mate. She cried to him and explained everything but was still terrified that the male would reject her and hate her for being pregnant with a cub that wasn't his.

But much to her surprise her loving mate didn't care. In fact he was excited to get to raise a cub and start a family and a pride of their own. Promising Aphrodite she would always be his Queen.

After giving birth to a male cub the small family set off on a journey to find an unclaimed territory in which they could start their new lives.

The family found an abandoned set of ruins where they began to live and raise their cub.

When the cub was just a few months old he was playing around near some stones and his claw accidently struck one and started a fire. However the small cub didn't know what it was so he just ran off to find his mother. Once he did However Aphrodite just pulled him for a bath before the family went to bed for the night.

Startled by the smell of smoke filling their longs the family woke up just before a pile of flaming bricks fell where they where sleeping.

Aphrodite just ran off towards a safe distance assuming her mate and cub where behind her, however when she realized that they where no where to be seen she panicked and went back towards the rubble, but all the smoke in her lungs caused her vision to become spotty and she passed out.

The young lioness awoke a few hours later to rain pouring onto her. Slowly she got up and began to yell and search for her family in the now exstinguish smoky ruins.

She was met with the most horrible site when she found the charred remains of her mate huddled around those of her cub. She howled in sorrow at the loss of them.

Thinking that she no longer had a reason to live Aphrodite laid down by the bodies and awaited her own death. A few nights later however her family appeared to her in a dream. Her parents, her mate, and her cub. They told her that they would always be with her no matter where she went and that she needed to continue living for them. For their sake, so their death wouldn't be for nothing.

The next morning Aphrodite woke up and went out hunting and looking for lions to spar with. She knew what she had to do. She had to get revenge on her old king, as he was the true root of all of her heartbreak.
