There once was a nomadic pride of rouge lions that had been belligerent with the Aurum Pride These rouges had later become forever intertwined with the Aurum Pride, even going so far as to call themselves Soror Pride; sister pride of the Aurums. Hearing the rumors of the extraordinary lions with powers beyond the ordinary feline's belief caused jealousy within. The rouge pride tried to wage war with the Aurums, but they lost overwhelmingly.
These events happened during the reign of Destan, who attempted to create peace after causing ruin within the rouges. In order to salvage whatever lions they had left, they had come to an agreement; the pride shall give half of their hoard at the end of every season in exchange for peaceful passage through the Aurum's territory.
As per the Soror Pride's tradition, to make laws permanent a special ceremony must be performed, one that includes a sacrifice. Together the Soror lions gathered riches and precious gems and stones all across the land in a giant pile to be burned. And at the very top of that pile? A small red piebald cub no older than 3 days.
The young cub has been ripped away from her parents, only having time to give her the name Vivienne, after being accused of being possessed by an evil spirit due to the dreaded markings on her fur. She was to be burned with the gems for her crimes, however, Destan demanded the horrible act be stopped at once. The lions agreed, listening to the powerful leader.
Destan took the cub home to his pride, not trusting that the Soror would treat her right if he left her, as well took all the jewels from the pile. He crowned her royalty, the second child of King Destan and Queen Raja, the first princess of the Aurum Pride. And so, she forever went down in history as The Gem Princess.

Bonding : Hello traveller, how are we today? You know I was thinking about going down to the lake this evening, the swans are starting to swim around and it's quite beautiful under the moonlight. Hm, oh what about Vis? Don't worry, he's hardly the type to get jealous, and if he does I'll simply clear it up that we were just having a friendly walk together.
Favorite Place : Do you know there's actually a secret cave in the pride's territory? I've told no one about it, not even Vis! The only other person who knows about it is my Dad, he's actually the one who showed me. It's a secret cave full of precious gems and stones waiting to be mined, they glitter at just the smallest hint of life. Oh, it's so, so pretty. My dad always told me to keep it a secret because those caves are home to many creatures and spirits, he worries that if word gets out bad lions will try and disrupt the order of the cave. What's that? No! I can't tell you, silly, my Dad trusted me to protect the cave!
About Vis : Vis, the most powerful lion I know. He's quite handsome, isn't he? So dreamy. I've had a crush on him for the longest, he actually belonged to my old pride, the Sorors, but Dad tells me to never go near them when they pass through. I don't know why though, they are always so friendly to the rest of the pride. But Vis, I just couldn't stay away from him, and I'm glad I never did because now he's my mate! Since the Soror Pride moved around so much, sometimes it'd be months in between from when I last saw him, but he'd always sneak out just to see me. I think my Dad noticed how I'd stare at him whenever he passed through the territory, I lost my mind the Dad he told me I was going to be betrothed to him, it was like a dream.
About Powers : Did you know the Earth holds memories? Every step on the soil, every sound in the wind, every vision in the water, they are all interconnected. Most of the lions here have the ability to use that connection, including me. However, mines are slightly different, I can see projections in jewels, and sometimes if I try hard enough I can even show others. But, the only problem is I can also project my own thoughts and dreams. Sometimes I can't even tell if what I saw was an actual event or if I made the whole thing up. If only I knew, I have the answers to Earth's history at my claws, and yet these intrusive thoughts ruin it every time. Useless!
