Inagi

• just like her mother
• incredibly kind and a skilled hunter
• never leaves her mothers side and does everything with her

As she lay beside her mother, the most revered and amazing lioness that had ever lived in the pride, she wondered.. ‘What will we ever do without her?’ All day every day, she and her sister Maruso stayed with their mother. Maruso wasn’t a good enough hunter to keep up most of the time but Inagi was there with her, matching kill for kill.
It was night time, both daughters fully grown yet snuggled up with their mother. Inagi didn’t remember why she had awoken so late but she remembers the memory of Kaon, her mother’s best friend and brother, wasn’t sleeping with them. “Momma?” Inagi called out, shaking her slightly. Maruso was still dead asleep but Kaori blinked awake, looking over at Inagi. “What’s wrong baby?” “Where’s Kaon?”
“I’m sure he’s fine baby, go back to sleep.” Kaori responded, putting her head back down and closing her eyes. Maruso didn’t look awake but her flicking tail told otherwise. “Momma I think somethings wrong.” Maruso said softly. A feeling of dread passed over Inagi and Kaori. They stood up, wide awake now. Maruso stumbled up along with them. “We’ll check with Segall and Hissah.” Kaori said, flicking her tail for them to follow. “Momma. We should check with Mian.” Maruso said, rubbing her eyes with her paw. Inagi didn’t want to think about it. Maruso often had good gut feelings, she was good to take on hunts because she seemed to have an acute sense of everything that went on around her. Kaori denied it though, running to where the twins and Hissah slept. None of them were there. The smell of fear from her mother was unmistakable.
“Girls you stay here in case they come back.. I’ll go look around more.” Kaori said, picking up the pace in the direction of Mian’s cave.
