She resorts to both for her eyesight and strength.
Stories
Her mother gave birth to her on a late night of April. She seemed normal truly or so her mother thought. She smiled at her newly born cub. She licked her clean as she drinks milk. Aradia would finish drinking and fall asleep next to her mama's belly. "I'll name you Aradia'Chandra. Sleep well child."
-------------------------
It had been 5 months since Aradia was born. Her mother started to notice that she acted as though she couldn't see. Aradia would bump into everything! She wouldn't want to play with the other cubs due to this problem. When she did play, she always lost. Her mother tried her best to hide this, but her father soon noticed. He hated the cub and would call it horrid names. The mother slapped the dad every time he said this. "Shut up, you stupid! This is our cub; we must love it!" She would say after. The young cub was too young to take in any of the dad's horrid words.
-------------------------
When Aradia was an adolescent, her father did a very rude act. He had begun to hate both Aradia and her mother. He would call them all sorts of names; it had gotten to the point where her mother couldn't take it anymore. Her mother and father fought, like usual but worse this time. "I've had it with you! You have been nothing but rude to Aradia! I won't put up with this any longer. Me and you are over! Get away from me and my cub!" She slapped him before running off with Aradia. The father wouldn't take this and marched over to the king. He told on the cub's blindness. ``Excuse me, king. My cub was born with a problem that my wife refuses to admit. She can't see and is useless to this pride. `` He said to the king. The king got mad and shouted to where almost everyone could hear. ^^ Thanks for reporting this. I hereby banish the adolescent named Aradia'Chandra!^^ He stomped his foot on the ground, shaking it. Her mother turned at glared at the king. She began to sob; she loved her child! She didn't want to watch them leave. Deep down, she knew her cub wouldn't do well without a guide. She tried to fight the king's words, she wanted to change his mind. She failed at this and screamed at the king as they kicked out Aradia.
-------------------------
It had been a whole year since Aradia was kicked out of her pride. She wasn't doing too well in life, but she was trying. She was all grown up, she had to find a way to hunt. Her blindness didn't make it easy. She had to rely on her other senses. She also had to find a place to live. She ended up staying in a cave next to a river. On one day, when Aradia was sleeping, a witch had found her. The witch lioness woke her up with a cackle. ``This looks like a nice place for me to live. Get out your simple lioness!`` The witch lioness said as she woke up. She jumped up scared as heck. She was panicking and listening to her surroundings. "What?! Who are you! Where are you!? This is my home!" Aradia would say. The witch lioness paused before replying. She looked at the lioness's eyes. She looked at her body stance. She had noticed that she was blind. ``Oh, I'm sorry ma'am. I didn't know you were blind. |She paused and smirked a bit.| Actually maybe I know how to help you.`` The witch said. Aradia made a confused face and replied. "How so? What are you?! How did you find me?" Aradia replied. The witch lioness spoke again. ``I am a witch. I can teach you all that I know. You see, not all witches are bad like most lions think. There're two types of magic, I can teach you both if you allow. It will help your sight. As for finding you, you're a rather messy lioness. Since you're blind, you can't see what mess you leave behind.`` Aradia nodded slowly, agreeing with the witch lioness. She didn't trust her but wanted to hear what she had to teach. "I'll allow it, I'd like to hear what you have to teach." Aradia said. The witch lioness smiled and sat next to Aradia, touching her to let her know she was beside her. Aradia stiffened, protecting herself. The two began to share wisdom, Aradia then learned what a dark magic and light magic witch was. She decided on that day that she will also be a witch and practice both magics.
