Oviz is the sister of Petal, and she grew up being in her sister's shadow. While Petal was favored and spoiled by the previous King, Oviz was left to the wayside. While she was raised and cared for by the other lionesses in the pride, seeing the extra love in attention the King gave to her sister while ignoring her did sting. This led to her becoming reserved as she got older and keeping to herself. However, with the passing of the king she slowly started to becoming a bit more social, but still was quiet and kept her distance, while her sister was slowly being pushed aside by the pride for her arrogance and antagonism. Eventually, it seems karma came for both the sisters in the end. While Petal was constantly trying and hoping to give an heir that the current king would choose, it never happened. Not only did it not happen, but the current heir, Kaz, was born from Oviz. Her sister, who she'd turned her nose at and looked down on her whole life. Despite giving birth to the heir, Oviz did not parade this fact around. Instead choosing to continue to keep to herself, and even seeming to keep company with the king's brother Raine, also a recluse, instead
