Vya knows a blessed inferno cub has been born before seeing his offspring in person. He's on patrol, looking for anything to satisfy this... Harbinger, when Goddess appears in the distance leaning against a Baobab. The comforting, indescribable scent blankets him, coating his senses with warmth and light, as she holds up her hand, palm up. A small fireball in the shape of a cub appears. She nods knowingly, before sending him on his way to meet his new cubs.
He enters the birthing den carefully, so as not to upset any of his lionesses or wake any sleeping cubs. He doesn't often come here, as having a male around sets off even his most loyal lionesses's protection instincts.
He licks every cub he can -with their mothers permission- as a kind of blessing. But cub after cub, though gorgeous in their own ways, are not of the inferno pelt his Goddess favors, until he reaches his daughter Bentayga, in the back corner of the den.
These are not his cubs, as his Goddess doesn't favor inbreeding, but they are those of his close friend and brother in arms, Tiagren. Vya knows he'll have to send the good news, or Tiagren may already know, since his Goddess also blesses and protects Tiagren's pride.
It's Bentayga's first litter. She seems to be in good health after delivering two beautiful girls: this cub, and another Vya knows will be sent to the gorillas to raise.
He licks his daughter gently. She takes comfort in her father's blessings.

You saunter up to Queen Donalay and tell her how nice her fur looks today! She suddenly ran off, seeming upset. Did you say something wrong?
