Sweet Marula

You got stung by a wasp in your last territory patrol, but luckily Sweet Marula was around to gently lick the wound. You feel better after her gentle tending.

Sweet Marula joined the pride when the other lionesses her age had already established friendships, but her soft-hearted, friendly nature won them over rather quickly. She's friends with everyone, but she absolutely hates when Iridescent Storm and Volcanic Sapphire gossip about Blooming Nightshade. Although she doesn't participate in her pranks, she does enjoy talking to her. She's closest with Comet Shimmer, the awkward, younger cub in her age group. The other four seemed to ignore her, so Sweet Marula made sure to become her friend.
A few months into her training, she was assigned Topi Tail as her trainer for the day. Sweet Marula, being inexperienced, startled a large bontebok, ruining that hunt, and her trainer was furious. She told their hunting group that she was going to take the adolescent away to hunt smaller game. Instead of taking the time to explain where she went wrong, she attacked her and warned her that if she "put the pride in danger" like that again, she would be punished even more severely.
The entire pride noticed a shift in her after that; she became quiet and easily startled. She visited the healers, Sikiliza Snow Ember in particular, once a week or more. It has taken her a lot of time and effort to heal, but now she enjoys training adolescents and spending time with the kinder lionesses of the pride.
Sweet Marula was overjoyed to become a mother to her daughter, Lavender Twinkle. However, she was born during the Great Hunger, and Sweet Marula had watched so many cubs pass from starvation despite the pride's best efforts. She became extremely protective and attentive to her cub, taking extra time off from her role as a huntress to be with Lavender Twinkle until she began training. Some said she was smothering her, but she knew she needed this cub to live, no matter the cost. She stayed close with her through adulthood, even when she was chosen to be a defender instead of a huntress.
