‘,Gerbil,’

Brakken sits down with Gerbil as she’s talking to some cubs. He listens in intently to the stories and wisdoms she share with the cubs. He eventually interjects with similar takes of his own, and they take turns teaching the cubs. - October 16th


Gerbil is resting at the opening of the cave when Brakken comes over. She’s alone as the cubs are all playing. He lies with her and begins to groom the spots she can’t reach as well as they quietly gossip amongst themselves. - October 23rd

Brakken sighs, his heart is aching when he comes up to Gerbil. The lioness is old, and is struggling to keep up with the cubs that she protects, and he winces as he watches some of the older cubs try to climb on her, Gerbil gruffing when their tiny paws hurt her joints. He quickly tells the cubs that he must have a private meeting with Gerbil, and they scramble off.
~•Due to her old age and needing more space in the pride, Gerbil has been respectfully retired, and left to prance amongst the stars with previously passed away cubs, their forever guardian.•~
