River Walker was walking in the jungle, a usual path she followed on the ground, the grass now bent down from how frequent she came this way. Often there were monkeys and smaller big cats around this area, whom she loved to interact with. Her bag uneven on one side, she walked slightly tilted, huffing from the weight. She had brought some extra food and beetles to trade with the monkeys, hoping to get something useful this time. Last time she only left with a couple hundred beetles, which was less of use to someone like her than something like a new bag, or more protection for her paws. Suddenly, a large male lion comes onto the path, covered in scars and angry looking. She leaves the path slightly, walking off into the trees of the jungle, not worried about getting lost, having practically been raised in this jungle. She lost sight of the path, confident the male had paid no mind to her, but as she thought this, he came back into her path, closer but still a couple feet away. "Are you looking for something?" She asks warily, slightly aggressively. He only growls in response as he walks towards her. It's not a super threatening growl, obvious that he is only here looking for someone to make cubs. "I'm not interested." She says, turning her back on him confidently, usually males didn't bother after getting rejecting by a lioness not in their pride. He growled more aggressively, leaping at her with her back turned and scratching her side, near her hind leg. She turns and roars in his face defensively, baring her teeth. "What the hell is your problem!" She says through gritted teeth, her bag broken and several things lying on the ground, and a noticeable wound, surely to leave a scar behind. Not wanting to escalate things, she only waits for another move from the male. He leaps at her again, and she prepares for a fight with him, when a larger male jumps out from the trees, intercepting the other male in the air. He roars at him, throwing him down onto the ground. River Walker takes this opportunity to leave, not wanting to get in the middle of a fight between two larger males. She runs along her path, only slowing when she's confident she's far enough away that the male won't come after her. After calming herself, she finally makes it to her destination, a run down cave decorated in many man made things, beetles, smaller animals, dead and alive, and things that are unfamiliar. She's greeted by the monkey happily. She smiles in return, then her eyes widen as she remembers her bag was broken when she was attacked, and had run away before she could pick anything up. "I lost half my things I was bringing today, I was attacked by a male lion in the jungle." She states, turning her side towards the monkey, showcasing her broken bag and her deep wound. Behind her she hears someone enter the cave but pays no mind until that someone comes up to her. It was the male that had saved her, a smaller wound on his face near his lip, it would heal fine. "I am Jormungandr. I apologize on behalf of the other male, and I offer my help." "What kind of help? Did you know him?" She shakes his head no. "I can offer you a place to stay while you heal, offer healing from some of my lionesses, and I can give you these," He puts down a sack that he had dangling off of his neck. "It's your things." She looks down at the now open sack, her things sprawled onto the floor. "Thank you, maybe I will take you up on the offer." She says, turning her back on him. "Do you happen to have a new bag?" She asks the monkey, and he gets up to go retrieve several options for her.
