Zuri is the first child of Sabir. Whilst he made business with the other cubs he decided to keep her. In the dark of night Sabir goes into the oldies den to wake up Zuri. They go hunting together in the cover of night. Zuri doesn't understand what is going on inside the pride and why so many of the lionesses have a deep hate for their King. Despite his cruel qualities, Sabir has a soft spot for Zuri, everytime he looks at her he is reminded of how things used to be, back when he had different values and diffrent plans for the pride.
