Crystal was Du Maurier’s first child and as such is his favourite. She shares her father’s introversion and is scared of meeting new lions. She’s also scared of pretty much everything else- beetles, dark corners, thunder, lion roars in the distance… You name it. Despite this, she manages to maintain her composure in a lot of situations and tries to be as kind as she can be. After the clan was ravaged by a pack of hyenas, Crystal almost perished but was saved by the grace of a Nepheline. In exchange for her life, the Nephelines asked her to protect and serve those in need. Crystal gladly accepted and became a guardian angel for suffering lions.
