[As she has gotten very old, RAINEYE’S has been retired from being a hunter. May she live the rest of her retirement days in peace.] Combo Bases: Raineye’s base is Zarbanu, and with that base she can breed: Nothing! :( When Raineyes returns from her hunt, she is explaining the importances of teamwork to the following adolescents, a motherly warmth in her voice. When the cubs run off, Brakken purrs and brushes up against her flank, then sits down to listen to her praise how well everyone did, her chest held high. - Ocober 31 Sol’ar’is has been too busy recently that he forgets to retire Raineyes! One day he hurriedly bounds up to her, utters a breathless, “You’re retired.” and runs away. - December 3 Sol’ar’is was out and about, interacting with his pride members when he stumbled upon Raineyes, who appeared to still be curled up sleeping. It was a heart-stopping moment as he shook her and she didn’t respond, her body have gone cold and still. Passed away in an easy sleep, Sol’ar’is touched his nose to her forehead in a respectful final goodbye, and led some lionesses to help bury the body. ~•Unfortunately Raineyes passed away from natural old age, but despite the ache her death brings me she has been guided to train the cubs to hunt and protect the pride amongst the stardust and night skies.•~ [December 29th, 2023]
